Chapter One: The Fight

May's POV

I don't know how I did but I did. I'm finally top coordinator of Hoen.

I sat down next to my Blaziken and we both looked at each other in shock as we stood up on the Podium and accepted the gold trophy.

I saw Drew and watched him as he clapped for me. He looked kind of sad but he seemed happy that I won.

He made it to the top four but was beaten by Harley. Then it was me and Harley facing off against each other in the final round.

I made a promise to Drew that I would beat Harley in the final round and I did. It was a double battle.

I used my Blazekin and Beautifly against Harley's Cacturne and Ariados. Harley may have seemed that he was at a disadvantage with my Blazekin being a fire type and his two Pokemon being grass and bug types but he surprisesed me with his choice in moves and we almost lost.

I was saved when Blazekin's special ability Blaze kicked in and powered up Blazekin's fire type moves.

Blazekin was able to knock out Harley's Pokemon with with one move which was overheat.

Surprising Harley didn't seem upset that he lost. Harley shook my hand and congratulated me. I guess that means that it's the end of our bitter rivalry.

I wonder if Drew will continue to compete in contests or not since he lost in the fourth round.

I walked down off of the podium and waved to my Mom and my brother Max in the Audience.

Max was was screaming with enthusiasm and excitement and my mom was taking pictures from the audience.

I smiled at the crowd nervously wondering what I would do now that I have achieved my goal.

What will happen will head back to my new home I bought in Kanto region or will I keep traveling? I've been at this goal for eight years and now I finally won but what happens now.

Then I saw someone I haven't seen in at least eight years. I saw my best friend Brendan in the audience he waved at me and smiled.

"Congratulations May!"

He yelled.

I guess maybe it's time to head back to Kanto and tell my friends the big news about my wining but before I do I'll catch up with Brendan, say hi to Drew, and visit Pettleburg City with my mom to see my dad before I go.

I walked off of the podium and walked up to Brendan who tacked me with a hug.

"So you finally did it!"

He said smiling.

His ruby red eyes were shiny like two red rubies. I smiled at him and blused a little at his sudden embrace.

"Yeah I sure did."

I said.

"Wow May that's a pretty big accomplishment! I knew you had it in you!"

"Thanks Brendan! So how's your research on Pokemon going?"

"It's going great I'm actually going to Kanto to study with Professor Oak a little more."

"Wow that's great! I'm actually thinking of heading back home to Kanto myself."

"So you moved down there. Kanto's a nice region. What city?"

"Virdian City."

"That's not far at all from Pallet. So you live close to your friends?"

"Yeah. Misty is in Cerulean, Ash, Paul, Clemont and Gary live in Pallet, Dawn lives in Celladon, Kenny lives in Vermillion, and Brock lives in Puter City and works as a doctor."
