Author's Note: Over a year old piece of literature I wrote. It's not really poetry, just...a concept.

The dark blue night sky glimmered with stars, and the whole place seemed as quiet and as peaceful as ever. However, things were not peaceful. The place…seemed to have a glow of tension and worry that spread to the people. They all watched as slowly, the glimmer of the stars got dimmer. The grass beneath them got colder. The sky looked as if the moon was barely raising, as the horizon had a light blue glow, standing out atop the dark blue sky. Everything was in silhouette against the night sky. Or… was it dawn?

Whichever, it was darker than ever. But among the strange tension rising, there was a calm. A calm that ebbed slowly, as if reminding the strange land of something. A calm feeling that perhaps had a strange feeling of drowsiness. It seemed like it was a dream that gave you a strange feeling of understanding. Except, perhaps from this, you wouldn’t wake up, but only lose your consciousness to enter a never-ending-dream. It would be called a dream, if, if only you knew nothing was real in the first place. In this dream, you would be living out what you thought was life itself. Everything you encounter, the knowledge you gain, will be only temporary as you slowly slip back into consciousness.

The night sky slowly got darker until it was almost black, and now, every breath taken could be heard. The air held a light breeze that caused the low whispering to be carried across the land. The whispering was not understandable. This whole scene, however much it was shadowed with tension, had a sense of beauty to it.

At last, the flickering of the ever-fading stars began to die out. In moments, this world would be drowned in darkness, and an ever-lasting quiet. The last whispers would stay caught in the air. At last, the silence and peace will has come.

This world ends in whispers, not bangs.
