(Leah's POV)
"Hello brother." Harry said smirking. His gazed soon shifted from Ed to me, sending shivers up my spin as he looked me up and down, licking his lips.
"Well, aren't you going to introduce me to your 'friend', Edward?" he said, his eyes never leaving mine. Ed didn't saying anything. His expression then turned from confusion to anger?
Ed pulled me closer to him, wrapping his arm around my small frame. I wasn't really sure what to make of this situation. I felt confused, betrayed as to why he never told me he had a twin brother. He kept this secret for over fourteen years and never decided to tell me. I felt hurt.
But now, I feel completely vulnerable under Harry's harsh gaze. Harry definetly was the intimidating type, and cocky.
"Ohh why this is Leah, Ed's girlfriend." Anne beamed, smiling at me. I looked up to see Ed's haw tightening, angry that his mother gave my identity away.
"Girlfriend, huh? My little brother has a girlfriend and never told me? Well, I'm proud of you, she's quite beautiful." Harry stated, taking a few steps closer to me.
Even though I was mad at Ed, I couldn't help but bury myself into his side.
"Awe, looks like someone's a little shy." Harry laughed while looking back at Ed with sparkling eyes.
"Why the hell are you here, Harry?" Ed was starting to get agitated. Harry only laughed and place a hand on Ed's shoulder.
"Isn't it obvious? I missed you." Harry stated innocently, cocking his head to the side with a grin, a dimple popping from his cheek.
"Well I didn't miss you." Ed angrily said, pushing Harry's hand away.
"Edward, be nicer to your brother. He just wants to spend time with you, that's all." Anne said, getting up from the table and making her way over to us.
"I'm taking Leah upstairs." Ed pulled me out of the kitchen doorway and lead me to the staircase.
"Don't have too much fun. Be smart!" Harry called from the living room.
As soon as we got upstairs and into Ed's room, I let my emotions spill.
"Why the hell didn't you tell me? We've known each other for fourteen years, and have been dating for three, and you never decided to tell me you had a twin brother?! I thought we were closer than that, Edward!" I screamed, angry that he kept this big of a secret from me.
"Leah, just call down okay, love..-"
"Don't tell me to calm down! I think I deserve to know! Why would you keep this from me?"
"I wanted to tell you, but I couldn't, okay? I felt ashamed. He's a horrible person, Leah, with a very very bad reputation and I didn't want you to think that I am the same person he is." Ed's words shocked me, tears forming in his eyes.
"You thought that I would've judged you based on your brother? You think I'm that kind of person?" My voice became quieter, knowing Harry could probably here everything.
"No, of course not. I just- I'm sorry. I should've told you." Ed's head fell into his hands, body shaking. I went over to him and kneeled down in front of him.
"I'm sorry for getting angry at you. You obviously had a reason not to tell me, and I respect you for trying to protect me, but I can handle the truth okay?" I whispered, trying to comfort him as best as I could. He shook his head in response as he cupped my face in his hands, leaving a soft kiss to my forehead.
"I'll tell you anything you want to know." Ed said, breaking the silence. I shook my head, thankful that Ed is starting to feel himself agin.
"Maybe later, okay?" I said, not wanting to force questions about his brother just yet.
He crawled on top of the bed, motioning me to do the same. As soon as I made my way on the bed, I was pulled down on Ed's chest; strong arms wrapped tightly around my waist. The only sound to be heard was the steady beat of Ed's heart.
I felt safe and content in his strong embrace, knowing that as long as I'm with him, I'll be okay.
