About ten thousand fans are screaming around me and waving light sticks to the beat of the song. There's even a girl – pardon me, I mean woman (she's at least a dozen years older than me) – bawling her eyes out shouting the same words "SARANGHAE-YO KIM JIN-HWAN" over and over again.
Anyway, about every ten seconds I roll my eyes at the crazy fangirls trying to get their bias' attention. To be honest, I feel a little sorry for idols. They don't deserved to be screamed at.
One song, two songs, and another five or so songs pass and it's time for the half-time break. iKON leave the stage, not forgetting to shoot hearts at the (mostly VIP, which includes me) fans.
Just as I was wondering where the hell my friends are and getting a little concerned about their safety (since age has nothing to do with maturity), a few staff members came towards the VIP section. One baby faced dude with a huge beard is calling for our attention. He's now drawing names from a box and calling them out. Kim Gong-sun, Park Hyun-min, Yu Min-ji, Jamie Chan... I notice the girl called Yu Min-ji as the hot-pink dip dyed cussing cry baby girl before the concert. Suddenly, my name is called last. I look up in surprise, having no idea what's happening. The baby face bearded-dude smiles at us and tells us to bring our stuff and that they've got a surprise waiting. Girls (and one boy) get up excitedly. The people who weren't picked shoot looks of jealousy. One girl starts crying (seriously what's up with all this crying??). Seemingly, me, the only one who's confused and hesitant to go with some strangers, is the last to pack my things and follow them at the very end of the pack.
A staff member leads us to behind the stage. We pass through more staff hurriedly carrying outfits, microphones, and talking in their ear pieces. After a few minutes, we arrive inside a large room. We're give posters of iKON, photo albums and herded into a corner of a room. By now, me, as well as a majority of the people in the room catch on what's going on, and many start jumping and screaming in their high pitched voices.
As if on cue, the doors open in slow motion and walk in a bunch of boys. From their matching outfits and fabulously styles hair, and don't forget to mention their wonderful swag, I can undoubtedly tell that they're the stars of today, iKON.
I sigh, thinking it's obviously a 'surprise' fan signing and move out of the way while the girls (and one boy) mob around the idols. Yeah, not my kind of thing. I'll probably just get this cheesy poster signed and give it to Chae-rin and Su-hyun...
I take out my phone and just when I was about to call Chae-rin for the seventeenth time, someone gently taps me on the shoulder.
