Metaphors,

I'm good at those!

She's a feather,

His heart is leather.

But I can't seem to find,

One to describe,

The way of my heart beat,

When our eyes meet...

Maybe I could say,

My heart's winning a race,

But another I'm lost,

A moment always rethought,

When we were dancing one night,

In the refrigerator  light.

Could I possible phrase it as,

Puzzle pieces connected with their other halves?

Yes, that works,

What about all our other reserves?

Moments we shared with no one else.

The memories we kept all to ourselves.

They were the view,

From where the birds flew.

All these relations,

Create beautiful illustrations,

Of what our love was,

The universe and stars.
