" Hey Jazzy" He said leaning against my door frame

"Hi Micheal" I said scared for my life. Me and Micheal have a past of abuse, police calling, and court visits. I moved all the way to Cali. How did he find me?

"You haven't been answering my texts or calls. I miss you." He said with the saddest face I ever seen from him. "Oh god, you've been crying. What happen?" He lifted my face and wiped the tears off my cheeks. Believe it or not, besides all the bruises and scars he made on my body, he has a semi soft side.

"Why are you here? How did you even get here? How did you know I was here?" I said jerking my head away from his hand.

"A friend told me where you lived. I miss you. I have changed, Babygirl. I want to get back together with you. I love you." He said with a serious face. He just said he loved me. He never told me that, he always beat around the bush when I told him I love you.

"Jasmine, don't you listen to him!!" Tiffany yells at me pulling me away from him. I look at his face and looks so different from the last time when talked or when we even had a hour without him hitting me.

"YOU SHUT THE - I'm sorry, Tiffany. I'm still getting help about that." He walked up to Tiffany with his hand out. I jump right in front of her and winced waiting for his hand to hit me in the face. I'm not gonna let my best friend get hit. I opened my eyes and saw him looking scared. " Baby, did you think I was gonna hit her? You don't believe I changed, do you?"

I fell on the ground wiping my eyes dry. "All those times you hit me. I still have a bruise on my back and because of all those beatings I fucking have a mental illness!!" I yelled hitting the ground after every word. He tells Tiffany to come here and started whispering in her ear. She whisper in my ear that she was gonna be upstairs to get some rest.
