*olivia's pov*

"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP"

i groaned loudly, and rolled over on to my face. i covered my ears with the pillow and prayed for the annoying sound to stop. unfortunately, it did not so i reached over and threw the clock on the ground. it finally shut up and i sighed in content. for the next 10 minutes i just laid in bed thinking about how tired i was.

"olivia, are you up?!" my mum called from downstairs. i groaned a response and rolled off the bed. and with my luck, i landed right on top of a broken piece of my clock. i yelped in pain and grabbed my side, yay. it was already red and sore. i sighed happily *note the sarcasm* and stood up. i stumbled over some boxes and down the stairs. i made it to the bar stool and began eating into my yogurt.

"so when are you going out to find a job?" my mum inquired while reading some papers for work. i sipped on my coffee for a few moments and replied,

"probably in an hour or so. why?"

"because me and your father are going to work today and won't be home for a while." my mum was an analyst for a bank and thats why we moved here. she got a promotion to become chief analyst at her branch of the bank. fun. my dad had the cool job though, he repaired cars and collected motorcycles. i love my dad's job, for my 15th birthday he gave me a Harley and even though i wasn't able to ride it then, i can now. i love it so much.

"okay, cool," i said as i walked to the counter and set my spoon & empty coffee cup in the sink. i sighed, while looking at the pouring cold rain that gave no mercy to poor teenagers who don't have a car like me. sigh.

"hey mum, since its raining outside do you think i could go job searching another day?" i asked and prayed for a good answer. my mum loves me, no doubt about it, but she is very stern and hardworking.

"sorry sweetie, but since you start school tomorrow it would be best to do it today." she replied, i groaned loudly. i love the rain, its so peaceful and i can't really describe it but i love it. however, walking in the cold, pounding rain is not so peaceful. and to make it worse, its a 10 minute walk into town and another 5 minutes to the bakery. its not that long of a walk, but when its cold and raining. I'm going to be lucky if i don't freeze my arse off.

i climbed up the stairs and searched through my closet and found a green coat with fur inside the hood, a white shirt that says arctic monkeys in black print, dark jeans and timberlands. satisfied with my outfit, i stripped my clothes and climbed into the shower. i hummed along to the song, boulevard of broken dreams and washed my long blonde hair.

i turned off the shower and slipped on my clothes. i put on a little bit of foundation, waterproof mascara and grabbed my phone and left.

"bye mom! ill see you when you get home!" i called out and closed the door. looking around the street, i pulled up my hood and began walking to town. i saw the bakery and jogged over to it. i opened the door and sighed in content when the warm air hit my body. i looked around and didn't see bakery boy and frowned. i saw a kind older lady working behind the counter and walked over to her. she looked at me and smiled instantly, i warmly smiled back.

"hi darling! what can i get for you today?" she asked kindly.

"hello! well, actually, i was here yesterday and bought some food here. i just moved here and my mum wants me to get a job and i immediately thought of this place. i was wondering if there was any open positions?" i asked politely.

"oh yes! this is actually perfect timing, i was just about to put up some signs. there are a few questions and papers you need to sign before you can work here, but you seem like a hard worker so I'm sure it will work out well." she happily replied. she called for someone to come take over for her and a lady around in her 30's came from the back. i followed the nice lady to an office where a man was sitting behind a desk. she knocked on the door and he looked up from his papers and smiled at us.
