My eyes slowly opened and I looked at my surroundings. I was in a white room with little furniture. I was hooked up to a lot of medical equipment. 

"Hello?" I asked. Nobody was in the room. I ripped out the IV from my arm. Blinking red lights and the sound of beeping rang in my ear. A nurse ran into my room and sat me down. 

"Hello? Where am I?" I yelled. She continued to strap me into the bed. After she was done, she started talking. 

"You were in a coma for two years," She continued, "Do you remember anything from before."

"No," I answered, scared.

"Well, you were in a bad car crash and your family didn't make it..." I started crying, and I didn't know why because I couldn't remember my family or anyone for that matter. 

"Your name is Liz Mayer," She told me. My name was Liz Mayer. I looked like a deer in the headlights just sitting there in astonishment with tears rolling down my face.

"There has been a boy that has been coming here visiting you. He would come once a month, every month. He stopped coming here four months ago. I guess he didn't have faith that you would wake up"  She explained. 

"Who is the boy?" I asked. I was to astonished to ask more. 

"I'm not sure, but every time he comes in here, he leaves a note in this notebook. He told me to give it to you when you wake up," She started. She got up out of her chair and walked over to the "hospital white" drawer and pulled out a little tan notebook, "I guess this is it." 

"Thank you, for taking care of me and this and telling me about myself. " I assured her. 

"Your welcome, and we decided to keep you in the hospital for another month until we can get you your own place to stay now that you are 18." Wow, I was 18? That meant I was on my own, it was better than foster care, but I had nobody to live with. 

"Okay, thank you." I said as she walked out of the door. I decided to oped the notebook and start reading...
