Watch your back

Phil's pov

"Dan, we are going to be late!" I said as I was putting on my shoes.

"I am almost ready! Calm your horses!"

He yells. As soon as I finish putting on my shoes, someone knocks at the door. I get up and open the door to see that Felix, Zoe, and Maggie were here.

"Ready to take care of business?"  Felix asks as Dan stumbles into the room.

"Yes" Dan replies to Felix.

"Let's go kick some butt" I say.

We all leave our apartment and walk outside. Our limo pulled up and we got in. My cellphone rings and I immediately pick it up.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Agent Phil, it's Agent Steve" he tells me.

"What's our mission Agent Steve?" I ask him.

"Your mission is to find a criminal. His name is Michael James Lee. Age twenty six. He murdered two girls last year and went into hiding. He is gong to be at this ballroom dance. I'll send you a picture of what he looks like. Good luck Agents" he tells me and then he hangs up.

"Okay everyone, we have to fund a criminal who has killed two girls. He is at this ballroom dance, so we have to keep it on the down low for a while. This is what he looks like" I tell them holding up my phone to show them.

The rest of the car ride we came up with a plan on how to catch him.  We finally get to the ballroom. We get out of the limo and we go inside. We all go into our separate ways and got into place.

Dan's pov

I got all into place and I got ready for anything that could come my way. I sit down and check my phone to see if any of the others have anymore information. When I look up from my phone, a beautiful woman was walking my way.

"Hello Ma'am" I say politely. She smiles kindly.

"Hello" she says.

"My name is Kevin" I told her. I have to disguise my name since I'm undercover.

"Nice to meet you Kevin, my name is Marissa" she told me.

"Nice to meet you Marissa" I said to her. We sat in silence for a few moments.

"So, do you live around here?" She asks me.

"No, I live in Florida" I say lying again. She nodded awkwardly. I look around for the target. Marissa looks at me.

"What are you looking for?" She asks sweetly. Too sweetly... I soon get lost in my thoughts.

"Hello?" She says in an agitated voice.

"Sorry. No one" I said.

She smiled. She gets up and gets real close tobme. She puts her mouth up to my ear and whispers.

"I know who you are and what your here for" I stare off somewhere and I am in complete shock.

"I don't know what your talking about" I tell her. She smiles.

"Are you sure about that Daniel James Howell?" She asks me.

"I told you my name is Kevin" I tell her again. She didn't belive me.

"You and your other agents better watch their backs" she tells me confidently. Then she walks away.

I check my phone and I realized that I had three missed calls from Felix and three from Phil. I click on the voice message and it said:

"Get out of there! Abort mission!"

Oh no. I wonder what's wrong. I don't have time for that! I have to get out of here now! I look around for an exit door and I see one. I start to slowly walk to it.

"Excuse me" I said trying to get to the door.

Right as I was about to get to the door, someone locked it and the lights shut off.

Felix pov

I was walking around to get into place. When I finally got into place, I noticed something weird. I know a lot of people here. Most of them are Spies, Fbi, or cops. Then it finally hits me: This is not a mission, it is a set up!

"Crap!" I say to myself. I grab my phone and I call Phil.

"Hey Phil, get out of here. Now!" I tell him.

"Okay" he says and then hangs up.

I call Zoe and Maggie, they both answer and I tell them. But when I call Dan, he didn't answer. So I call two more times and he still doesn't answer. I decided to leave and try to contact him from outside. I walk outside and I see Phil, Zoe, and Maggie.

"Have you seen Dan?" Phil asks. I shake my head no.

"I haven't seen him at all and I called him three times" I tell Phil. He sighs and looks away.

"What should we do?" I ask him. He looks at the building and then back at me.

"I think we should go back to the apartment, call the agency, and tell them what's going on" Phil tells me. The girls and I nod our heads in agreement.

Once we get to the apartment, we call the agency and we tell them everything that is going on.

Dan's pov

The lights are still out and everyone is freaking out. I get out my phone again and I try to call Felix, but there was no service. I try to stay calm. The agency taught me to do this. Suddenly, the lights come back on and there is a strange smell. Looking around and I see several dead bodies on the floor.

"What happened here?" I say quietly to myself. Hopefully Phil and Felix are not here. I look at the front of the room and I see no one there. Slowly I walked to the door, hoping it is unlocked. I turn the door nob and it was locked. As I turned around, the lights turn off again. Suddenly, someone grabs me. They get real close to my ear and whispers:

"I told you to watch your back"
