Bad Timing

"Hey Felicity! Wait up, stop walking so fast!" Aaron shouted, from down the hallway.

I was walking so fast to get away from the embarrassment that had just fallen upon me. About 3 minutes before the bell had rung for class to get out I was totally caught eyeing Aaron, the worst part was that the teacher announced it to class. You see Aaron is like the guy you see in movies, handsome, respectable, and of course he's been my best friend since forever.

"Felicity! Please stop!" Aaron called,
from behind me.
I slowly stopped and turned around to see Aaron in my face. He was out of breath from chasing me down, the hallway was clearing up as all the other kids left for home.

"Felicity, you don't need to walk away from me, but I don't-"

"I know you don't like m-"

In an instant Aaron' lips were pressed against mine. It felt like fireworks were about to explode behind me and the world was stopping to give us our own special moment. This was our own fairy tale moment, and it felt like we were that pair in a movie who ended up becoming a couple at the end.

"Woah... I wasn't expecting that but, I'm not complaining..." I stuttered.

"I like you Felicity, I really do. I just never thought you liked me..."

"Are you kidding?! I mean who doesn't like you! You're Aaron Stahl! Part time quarterback and part time amazing person."

We talked and he finally walked me home. Today was the start of a good day and an even better tomorrow, at least I thought that until I walked into my penthouse.

"Its time to tell her, we only have a few day until we need to go." I heard my mother talking with my father in the kitchen. I stepped in the room and it got extremely silent.

"Tell me what exactly?" I questioned my parents.

"We're moving, you see-"

"What?! That can't happen! I have a life here!"

"I know sweetie, but you see I have a job promotion and it includes me having to move to England." My father finished.

"But what about grams and papa? And our friends?" I started to calm down.

"We will have new phones, we can always call and text. Anyways grams and papa will be visiting twice a year!" My mother replied.

"Ugh! I finally got Aaron, and now we're moving away!" I ran up to my room.

"She'll calm down David, don't worry and will come to her senses, I'll talk to her tonight."

I quickly got out my phone and facetimed Aaron. He finally picked up after three calls.

"I'm moving in a few days, its shocking and I wanted to come see you for a bit tomorrow because we leave Sunday night!" I blurted out.

"You can come over now? And spend the night, you seem like you need a little help right now, and you can invite Kate over too!"

"Yeah I'll be over soon, text Kate." I replied, and hung up the phone. I quickly grabbed my leather jacket and went downstairs.

"I need a night out with my friends, this is the last time I'll see them for a while and don't wan to miss my chance." I said to my parents firmly as I walked out the door.

I rung the doorbell to Aaron's house, he came and led me downstairs when his room is.

The first thing I do is run up and hug Kate. "Oh Kate! I'm so upset I'm leaving you both!" I hugged Kate tightly as I started to cry.

"I'm gonna miss you so much, and so will Aaron." Kate started to cry.

"We'll take you to the airport Sunday cause you're staying here until then, we'll help you pack tomorrow but we're coming back here." Aaron said as he touched my shoulder.

We spent the night looking at old photos of us as we grew up, laughing and talking as if I wasn't moving away.

I awoke to the aroma of Aarons mother cooking us breakfast. I woke up Aaron and Kate and we all went upstairs to have a nice meal together.

After we finished, we grabbed our things and headed to my house and packed up my things.

"Okay, so my mother says we leave at 9 so I have to be there by at least 7:30 so I can get through security." I looked over at Aaron in the passenger seat of my car. He slowly reached out for my hand as we locked fingers. I was already missing him and Kate.

It was time for me to go. I grabbed my things and packed my car. Aaron and Kate hopped in and we drove to the airport. I walked inside and put my bags on the bag chute and put on my backpack. I tired around to see Aaron with a sad look and Kate in tears.

"We have to get going, Kate has curfew and we have school in the morning." Aaron was trailing off.

"I understand." I started dmtearing up as I walked to Kate and gave her a big hug. "I'll miss you so much, Kate. I'll be sure to send you letters and text and call as much as possible!"

"I'll miss you too, don't forget me!" Kate finally let go of my waist and turned to Aaron, "I'll be in the car, Ill let you two say your goodbyes..." Kate waved and walked away with tears still in her eyes.

Aaron and I hugged and he gave me a kiss. "I'll miss you shorty, I want you to have this." He handed me a bear. "There's some stuff sewn inside of it, my mother helped me, she's said she'll miss your craziness in the house." We both laughed.

"Goodbye Aaron, I'll miss you so much." I wept as I walked into security, I turned around to see him shed a tear and walk away.
