Chapter  4

Amanda

I hang up with Zoey,  I am so happy she was able to track the vampire. Interesting  that the Old Paper Mill is next door to the bar I am in right now. I stopped in the Martini Sippers to drop off a few things for a customer of Zoeys before I went Vampire hunting tonight. I put the phone back in my fur purse and zip it. He must be watching me now to be so close. I decide then to sit and order a drink. I need a few minutes to come up with a plan. I will need something crazy tonight. Especially if he has been following me for days and never letting himself be seen. I guess that King of his was stern on not wanting him to revel himself. After a few minutes of sipping on my dirty martini I have a plan. I know I am not fast enough to catch him, not with his vampire speed. I need to make him come to me. And the only way to do that is to put myself in harm’s  way . I sit a few dollars on the bar for the drink and wave to the bartender. I will be seeing him next week with a new batch of goods from Zoey. I step outside and the cool air hits me and sends me chills. I really hope this works I have so many questions.

“Hey baby are you lost looking around like that? I am sure me and my friends could make you feel better if you like? We could make you feel real good.” I turn to an alley a few feet from where I am standing to see a man and three of what I am guessing are his friends by him.

“I doubt you boys have what I am looking for.” I say to him keeping where I am, standing in the street light. I look up at the Old Paper Mill and see no lights or signs anyone is inside. Just as I look at the top window I see a shadow run by, Good I think to myself he should be still inside. Well unless my mind is playing tricks on me.

“Oh I wouldn’t be so sure about that why don’t you come over here and let us warm you up” The one that spoke before says. He walks a few steps closer and I see he is a lot larger than me. At 5’4 this man towers over me. I may have wanted trouble but this was a little more than I bargained for. The man has on a red jackets and he steps from his friends and walks a little closer.

“We promise not to hurt you too much tonight. We could even go in the Mill if you are so interested in staring at it.” He says.

“I was just stepping out to wait for a friend sorry about that boys” I say and turn to go back inside the safety of the bar. Just before I could take a step two very large arms wrap around me a pull me towards the alley backwards. I struggle to get free or to reach my gun and realize very soon he is much stronger than me. Let alone there are 3 more of him waiting to get me alone.

“Help me please someone Help “I scream before he claps one hand on my mouth I kick and squirm as hard as I can but It doesn't seem to phase the sleaze, it’s no use. So this is how it ends these men will do god only knows what to me before they kill me I am sure. I fight back tears and try to struggle harder to get away from his arms. With tears streaming down my face I can’t help but think of the irony that twice in the last week I have found myself in a dangerous situation with a man. What was I thinking I waited to long I should have got my gun out right away, What if Eric isn't shadowing me and Zoey is wrong about his location.

“Don’t yell too hard sweetheart or we may have to do something a little more drastic to quite you ok? Do you get me baby?” he says with one hand on my mouth still. His hand so close to my mouth smells of alcohol and cigarettes. Great I think to myself, if Eric is up there now is a good time as any to come help out.

“I just want you to meet a few of my friends sugar It won’t” and the man is broke off in mid-sentence just at this arms are off me. I feel a cool wind and hurry to spin around to see what happened.

As I turn and see it all my heart stops at what I lay eyes on. A blood bath.  All four me on the ground, with their throats torn apart, and blood pouring out their heartless chests. I look past the men and he is standing there. Eric.
