Chapter 3

I opened the door seeing none other than my best friend Maxine (Max for short). "Hey you haven't texted me in forever Emily." "Oh I'm sorry Max I've been busy." "Don't bullshit me Emily." She said grabbing my hand and pulling me up the stairs towards my room. "Okay since we're along why haven't you texted me?" "Well my mom made me run cookies or to the new neighbors. And after me and Louis went for a walk. Oh Louis is their son." I added the last part before stopping.

"Louis? Louis Tomlinson?" She asked looking worried. I shook my head yes in confusion. "Emily Louis is bad news stay away from him." "Why Max he was so sweet to me he bought me coffee. You know I love anyone who buys me coffee Max." "Yea but Emily please promise me you'll stay away from him and his group please. I just don't want you getting hurt." She said with sad eyes.

"Ok Max I'll stay away from him." I said hoping she would buy it. "Thank you. I just don't want you getting hurt because I know about his past." She said with the worry still in her eyes before she walked over to my door. Waving bye she left. I was left with an empty room but many thoughts on what could be so back about his past.

*bing* I heard from my phone. I reached over and grabbed it from my table. The message read 'Hey princess its Louis.' 'Hey Louis.' I texted back before plugging in my phone and walking over to my closet the change into some jeans and a hoddie. Slipping on my nikes I made my way downstairs. "Mom I'm going out." I yelled before walking out the door.

"Hey Emily." I heard someone yell. "Over here dear." Looking over I found out it was only Mrs. Tomlinson. I saw 4 girls standing near her. She wave me over. I started walking over once I got there she introduced the girls. "Emily this is Fizzy, Lottie, Phoebe, and Daisy." She said while pointing to each one. "Hi I'm Emily." I said while waving to them. "Fizzy is 16, Lottie is 15, and Phoebe and Daisy are both 11." She told me.

"I'm 17." I said to them. Fizzy walked up to me and hugged me. A little taken back but I soon hugged her back. "Its nice to meet you." She said letting go. "I'm sorry to cut this short but I must be going." I said to them. "That's fine dear just promise you'll come visit." Mrs. Tomlinson said to me. I waved to them before making my way towards the market. Walking into the market, grabbing a basket I headed toward the candy isle.

Grabbing a bag of gummy worms I tossed them into the basket before adding some lollipops and some poppers. (Poppers is what I call pop rocks.) "Funny seeing you here princess." I heard none other than Louis Tomlinson say. "Hi Louis. I would love to stay and chat but I really must be going." I say quickly before trying to walk away. "Not so fast love." He says grabbing onto my arm. "What Louis please?" I ask. "I just wanted to spend some time with you Em. What's wrong with that?" "What's wrong with that?" I question back before starting up again

"Everything Louis I have my friend telling me how I shouldn't hang out with you." At that his eyes get a sad look in them but are soon masked by anger and confusion. "But me Louis I want to hang out with you and see who you are because you act so sweet to me. But its hard when your best friend tells you to stay away from the person your interested in talking to." I say before ripping my arm out of his grip and walking up to the check out.

Putting all my stuff on the counter. I hear "But why Emily?" Its distant so I know Louis isn't very close to me. "That will be $4.93 please." The clerk well 'Joey' I looked at his name tag said. "Here." I said handing him the exact amount. "Have a great day." I tell him before rushing  out of the store.
