I lay in a bed, but I have no idea where I am. Everything feels extremely heavy and painful. I hear voices around me, but they are jumbled and mixed. I slow down, forcing myself to think. The images of the boy swim around me, making me more at peace. Everything starts to clear up, but I continue laying still. Everything still feels heavy and slow.

“What happened to Cameron?" Daniel’s voice asks.

“When he first arrived, even though she was working on blocking the fire, Aurora was giving him energy. It had taken him a lot to make it here in the time he had. After the explosion, she lost consciousness, and however she was giving Cameron energy was lost. So, they both dropped like rocks before either got a glance at each other," Ron’s voice explains. I still don’t understand how I give others my energy.

“So, when is the next storm blowing through?" Daniel asks.

“Tomorrow morning, which is supposed to have extremely heavy rainfall," Rob replies. They continue to talk about useless things, just making random conversation.

After a few minutes of them rambling, I realize that all of the voices are far off, not right next to me. I open my eyes, only to be horrified. A man dressed in all black with a ski mask over his face lifts my limp body into his arms. I manage a weak whimper, but he covers my mouth. I am wrapped in a soft blanket. I look into the man’s stormy grey eyes as he binds my useless hands and feet. Another whine escapes my mouth, and he pushes a finger to my lips.

“Shh, it will be okay. Just don’t say anything. I am getting you out of here, Angel,” he assures. A peace comes over me, but I know he is trying to control my mind and emotions, so I don’t yell out. He picks me back up into his arms, moving towards the window.

My eyes widen with realization, that my dazed thoughts just processed. I let loose a high pitched scream, and he curses, covering my mouth quickly. I hear footsteps running towards us, but the man crashes out of the window. Huge grey wings cover us, and then we shoot up into the air. Shouting is heard from below us, but it is too late.

I want to struggle, but I can’t. My body won’t respond. I manage to throw a gust of wind at him, but it only blows us back a half a mile. That took all of my energy. I can’t help it as my eyes flutter shut once more.

I crash into the soft earth, scraping my knees roughly. I shake my head, standing up. I run towards the water, finding the boy still there, looking into the water silently. When I stand next to him, his eyes light up in surprise. I pull him into a hug, and start crying onto his shoulder. There is so much confusion in me right now, that I am completely lost.

He thinks for a second before taking out a piece of paper out of his pocket. He slides it into my pocket, and then smiles at me. I feel my fear edge away. I curl up against his chest, and we sit down.

He looks down at the water with longing, like always. I slide off the edge, my feet hitting the surface of the water. I stand on it, the water holding up like a solid surface. I pull the boy onto it with me. He looks from our feet to my eyes, his eyes sparkling. We skate across the smooth surface, both of us smiling like little kids.

Then he stops, and he starts to melt away. He looks worried and sad. He kisses my cheek, sending shocks of electricity through me. Then he is gone, leaving me standing in the middle of the lake. My fingers brush where his lips were just seconds ago, and I shiver lightly. I start to feel my own pull, letting me know that I need to wake up now.

I feel my body pull away from my paradise, wondering if I will come back. I watch as the bright clearing full of flowers fades to black, and then I return to my own body. I take a deep breath. The binds are still in place, and I am still wrapped in the warm and soft blanket.
