Catching up

Danny sighs and begins his explanation,"Well, when our family moved back to Managua, Nicaragua. I some how lost contact with you and your family, but I never forgot about you, so when school was over I decided to come back, for you and my career."
I was speechless, I wasn't expecting him to come home.
I actually forgot about him after the 4th year he was gone. I thought he would never come back.
I launch myself forward and attack him with a bear hug. Pushing him back from impact, I end up laying on top of him with my head resting on his chest.
I hear his wonderful chuckle as he wraps his warm arms around my body.
"I missed you so damn much." I whisper. Danny kisses my head.
"I missed you too honey." He whisperers back.
"So, what did I miss?" I sit up still sitting on his lap as he lifts him self to lean against the head board.
"Well, remember that girl that I was always texting?" He says reminding me of Shelby.
"Yup I remember, we sat up in that tree for hours talking about how great she was and how great Rocky was." I giggle.
He nods his head and smiles,"Well, when we got all settled down, school started again." Well he was 15 when he left here and now he's 20 almost 21, and Shelby was our same age...wait." The first day of school was amazing, I got to know this girl, and when she told me her name, I thought I had gone crazy." He continued." After looking at her closely I realized it was Shelby, it was amazing because we hit it off." My mouth dropped in shock but nether less he continued." After about a month of getting to know each other, hanging out and all the things we didn't get to do over the Internet, I asked her out." Oh my gosh! Yay I'm so proud of him!"That's great honey boo!" I exclaim. Then I see his face fall, oh no.
"Yeah, but after a year of dating, she broke up with me, she told me she had enough." I lean forward and peck his lips and then his nose.
"It's ok baby, tell me more." I push him on to tell me the rest.
"Well, I got over her but I haven't found any one as good." He tells me. I place my hand over my heart and screech dramatically.
"Help my heart has been stabbed!" I put my other hand up to my four head.
"Oh don't be dramatic! You know your above any girl I ever meet!" He laughs at me.
"Yeah I know I'm just way better then all them other bitches." I laugh with him.
When our laughter died down and a soothing silence drops through the room.
Daniel coughs and asks,"What did I miss?"
"Well you missed out on a whole lot, when you left I found this really nice guy, Rocky, but we didn't go long before he told me he didn't care." I informed Daniel.
"It's ok you don't need that loser, you've got me." He grabbed my hand and kissed it making me smile.
But then as quickly as it came it left. A thought came to me.
"Yeah and...something else big happened when you where gone." I could feel my eyes watering up.
He just pulled me close to him and hugged me for a long time.
"You can tell me Jewels." Daniel whispers in my ear and rocks back and forth.
"Well....mum died a year after you left." After saying that he just stopped all movement while I spilled all my tears on to his shoulder.
"It's ok Jewels, she was a great woman." I felt a tear drop on to my shoulder.
"I know." I whisper making more tears flow out of my dark eyes.
We sat like that for more then an hour just cuddling in silence and crying.
I never knew I would have missed MY Danny so damn much.
