Sirens shrieked in my ears as I ran down the busy New York street. Sweat dripped off my face. The bag was slung on my back. Just then a police car intercepted me and a cop got out. "Drop the money. Your under arrest." said the officer. I dropped my bag as he handcuffed me. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you." he said as I was put into the police car.
"She can either do a year in jail with regular parental visits, or boot camp." the judge said. It seemed my parents both had an early Christmas. Their faces lit up. "Boot camp!" They said with happy faces. Now my parents can really get rid of me.
The next day I went to the hospital to visit my little buddy. She lay on the bed with a breathing tube in her nose. She smiled when i walked in. "Hey Lilli." I smiled. "Hi, Sky." she said back. I sat down. "I almost got the money Lilli." I said. "Did you get arrested again?!" she said. "Yeah but, I'm going to boot camp this time." i said sadly. "Sky! You have to take care of yourself not me!" she said quietly. "I can't just watch you die!" I said. She looked at me. Then the nurse came in. "Vistor time is over now." She said sweetly. "I kissed Lilli's forehead and said to the nurse. "Please tke good care of her." I begged. "We'll do our best." she smiled.
An hour later I arrived at boot camp. They made us all change into a black shirt and black pants. Girls needed their hair up. I already hated this place because of how they gave us no choice.
