"I did not sign up for creepy guys trying to grope me and calling me a whore." I complain to Joe from across the narrow diner table we've been seated at. The rest of the guys stayed on set or rather they stayed in the park to come up with ideas for future episodes and such while Joe took me to a late lunch. I'm honestly just glad to get away from everyone and the park for a little while to pull my thoughts together.
"I know kid, that won't happen again I'll make sure of it. Nobody was prepared for it to escalate so quickly." Joe says in a softer and more serious tone of voice than usual.
"I don't know Joe... Maybe I shouldn't be on the show anymore," I sigh half feeling sorry for myself but half serious, "Maybe it's just not a woman's game." At this point, yes, I am downright feeling sorry for myself but it makes me feel better so whatever.
"Oh stop it." He states plainly seeing straight through my self pity, "You're just feeling sorry for yourself because of one little incident." He finishes. Well duh. "This is the first time anything like this has happened in what, 3 years of the show?" He questions. I can hear the frustration in his voice. It's rare that Joe is anything but happy or mischievous but when he is, it's unmissable. Bastard can always see through me like I'm a fucking window.
"I know you want me to say that you're right... And that I'm overreacting..." I say as the waitress brings over our sandwiches. "But it's not gonna happen, got it?" Joey nods with a cheeky grin and focuses solely on the food in front of him.
"You really haven't changed since you were fifteen you know?" He informs me, causing me to look up at him through my eyelashes and laugh.
"Oh really? Have I not?" I ask suddenly curious as to what he has to say.
"Nope. Same girl, different hair color." He laughs at his own comment. Bitch.
"Okay I dyed my hair once and it's one shade darker. One shade Joey! Leave me alone! It barely did anything" I laugh and throw a fry at his face. "You know none of you guys have changed at all either," I say simply. "Same stupid guys doing the same stupid shit just to make each other laugh." At this we both laugh and he nods in agreement.
"Yeah pretty much." We both sigh down at out empty plates and my phone dings almost on command.iMessage from: Murr Man 👔💩
"When will you guys be back? We have a few more ideas and want to get some more shooting done before it gets dark. Xx.""Murr?" Joe asks simply and I nod. "Okey dokie well, let me go call Bessie really quick and then we can go." I smile and make a WAPSSH! Noise as he walks outside, but he makes sure I see him giving me the finger before taking out his phone.
To Murr Man 👔💩:
"Be back in like 10! Xx."
