"Mrs. Spetto! Can we go walk around in the town?" a little blonde girl with a pink outfit said while pulling on the maid's skirt.
"Madame Lucy, sure thing. Just let me finish up the laundry then we can go."Mrs. Spetto rushed to the laundry room.
Lucy couldn't wait. She was so excited; she quickly put on her shoes then waited for Mrs. Spetto at the door. Mrs. Spetto is the only person in the house that understood and cared for Lucy. Since her father is always busy, and her mother's absence; Lucy usually plays by herself in the house. You could say that the life in the Heartfilia household hasn't been the same since the death of Layla Heartfilia, Lucy's mother. You could always sense a bit of sadness in Lucy's eyes, after her mother's death, but today was different. She was happier today, who knows why.
"Alright, let's go Madame Lucy." Mrs. Spetto said while opening the door for her.
"Yay! Thanks Mrs. Spetto, we're going to have a lot of fun together!" Lucy's smile is so gorgeous that it could brighten a whole room.
The two of them walked the streets of Magnolia. Walking from stores to parks, the day had seemed to last twice as long today. As they were walking, Lucy stopped and admired the building right in front of them. She was gazing with twinkling eyes and a wide smile on her face.
"What's this place Mrs. Spetto? I've never seen it before," Lucy asked.
"It's called a guild, madame Lucy. It's where talented mages gather up and accept jobs to help people all over Fiore," Mrs. Spetto explained to the little girl. "This guild in particular is called Fairy Tail. The number one guild in Fiore."
"Wow... I want to become a Fairy Tail mage when I grow up!" Lucy giggled.
"I'm sure you do, well we better head home now, 'kay Madame Lucy?"
"Okay! But first I want to go over there!" Lucy's little hand pointed to a simple park not far from where they were at.
Mrs. Spetto sighed. "Fine, but after this, we're going home. My feet are killing me, and your father would be upset if he found out how long we've been out."
Lucy pouted. "Why would father be upset over something so simple? Normal boys and girls go outside all the time and their parents don't care."
"Yes I know, but you're special. You belong to a wealthy family, and as a lady you need to be at home more so you can learn how to cook, clean, and so many other things. So that one day you will be married to a gentleman and have a family of your own."
"But I want to become a member of Fairy Tail!" Lucy kept on walking.
When they got to the park it was already starting to be late. The sun was setting, and Lucy begged Mrs. Spetto to stay at the park for a little longer. She gave in, and Lucy ran to the slide and started to play on the playground.
I miss mommy... Father never seems to have time for me. The only person that cares about me is Mrs. Spetto. I don't want this boring life anymore! Oh mommy why did you have to leave me... Lucy thought to herself as she hid in a slide. She began to sob quietly to herself, as she envisioned her momma hugging her.
SLAM!
Lucy fell to the floor coming out of the slide. She rubbed her head, "What the heck?" she said looking at the pink haired boy that was on the floor.
"Are you okay?" Lucy said to the boy that was still on the floor.
"Gah, that hurt you know! What in the world were you doing in there? A slide isn't meant to be a hiding spot you know!" The boy began yelling at her as he got up.
