A dark form shivered in the shadows. If you had not seen it move, you wouldn't have known it was there, But that was the point. You don't want to attract attention when you were a homeless orphan who refused to be put in a foster home. "£5," the shape mumbled, " How am I going to survive another week with only £5!?"

"Go to Fowl Manor." A voice said.

"What? Who are you? Show yourself!"

"But then you could see me. Tell the first person you meet Foaly sent you."

"Why should I trust you?"

"Because, if you go, you will find out your name."

"I have a name! It's Max!"

"You made up that name so you could call yourself something. Your real name... Now that's a whole different matter."

"If you know so much about me, then why don't you tell me my name?"

"Because then you will have no incentive to go to Fowl Manor. Goodbye now"

Max felt a gust of wind, then started trudging toward a castle-like shape in the distance.
