Does Music Inspire You too Write?

OK, formalities have never been my thing, so let's just have a bit of fun here, that's what Wattpad's for after all.

Starting with me, music was the original first thing that inspired me to start writing because to me that's what a song was- a story. I liked to listen to the lyrics more than the tune and see what I could flourish from that, then throw in another song with the mix and another until it comes up with one great big chunk of text that I like to think is a book. My newest book-Inked actually has every chapter based on a song.

For some people, listening to music is what gets them motivated to write and solves their unending pile of writer's block. This doesn't work for everyone, but my top 5 songs (In my case probably listened too many times and consecutively) are as follows:

1. Cell Block Tango (Chicago)

2. Don't Rain On My Parade (Barbara Streisand)

3. I'm The Greatest Star (Barbara Streisand)

4. Bring Him Home (Les Miserables)

5. Defying Gravity (Wicked)

Ok, so I realised all of the above are from famous theatrical performances, (Don't know what that says about me) but that's just the sort of music that inspires me, but that's a question for another day.

But what about all you guys y'know? Does music inspire you all? Let's find out.

MeloCv- Yes music does inspire me to write every single day. It helps me with ideas of what I can do with a chapter or story.

AmazingAlicia- Not usually but it's sort of depending of what types of instruments are used in the music I listen to it inspires what I write. For example; piano. Usually piano music is quite soothing and/or melancholy but can also be used for upbeat pieces. So you see, if I listen to happy music, it puts me in a good mood and inspired me to write happy pieces and by the way the music changes, the storyline and the emotion I put into it twists and changes so yes, music does affect my writing.

I'll go into detail more on the different types of music and how it can affect your writing some other time. But I hoped you all enjoyed that, I mean I'm genuinely terrified of what you'll all say but if you did like it comment! If you didn't, comment and tell me how I can improve! And most importantly hit the lovely lil' vote button up there, yep just there.
