Searching For Love

CHAPTER 2

January 5th, 2015.

First Day in school wasn't great as I thought, lecture was boring, I came in late so I had to sit at the back and been the small me I am, I couldn't see the front. I tried to beg a big burly guy in front of me to allow me to sit with him but the glare he gave made realize that student are not smiling oh, I immediately shrank in my seat out of fear and jack was not here with me because she is in a different department from me been a year ahead of me.

I just so so miss her presence but I have her to myself later since she is my roommate oh I forgot to tell you that piece of information.

In the middle of the lecture I slept off because I had an exhausting weekend travelling to school and arranging my stuffs.

The lecturer which I knew not his name gave us an assignment on a course I also don't know its name. I jotted it down and tried my best to find someone that will willingly give me his/her note to use to update mine.

I saw a lonely lady updating her note so I walk up to her.

"Hi, good afternoon" I said smiling trying to look warm and friendly.

"Hi?" she replied arching her eyebrow, her expression was like "can I help you?"

So I went straight to the point and ask her for her note, and she was like she will soon be done, I should just wait a minute but meanwhile I should try to take note of the class schedule which she gave to me.

I took it and started making a note of it. By the time I was done she was also rounding up. She finally got through and she gave me her note but not after exchanging contacts. I later learn her name was Jane. I never knew she was going to play a big part in this love story.

"Yeah, I will soon be there, please keep a seat for me ok" I spoke into my phone while prepping my hair and my face. And I was speaking to Jane.

"Ok, but please hurry, ok?"

"Ok"

I dropped the phone into my bag pack, and hurriedly cleaned my shoe and put them on and I came out of my room, I couldn't wait for Jack to get back from the market, so I went back in and left a note for her,

"BAE, I HAVE GONE TO SCHOOL, SO PLEASE TRY KEEP THE KEY FOR ME OK, BYE AND KISSESS"

I made sure she knows the note was from me so I kissed the back of the note to stain it with my lipstick. I smiled mischievously caused I already know her reaction to it.

I got to school and sat in the front of HIM with Jane but never knew it was HIM.

"So where you able to do Mr. Osako's Assignment" She asked in a whispered tone.

"Yeah but I was not able to do the last three." I replied in the same tone because of the lecturer taking us MTH111.

"Hmmmm, I forgot to do them. You know I travelled to see my aunt in Warri"

That's has been the case of Jane, she is travelling and at times I don't think she cares so much about her grades like me cos I have to make dad proud.

"Don't worry we will look for someone that has done everything" I comforted her

"Thanks you are a friend indeed" she complimented me while smiling her crooked smile at me.

"What are friends for" I replied trying to return her smile but got stop midway when HE told me to stop disturbing the class with my titbit Gist.

I turned and wanted to give him a piece of my mind when I saw him smirking at me, I just totally lost it, the intelligent comeback I had at the moment got lost and I could do nothing more than stare at him.

But I got my wit back when the lecturer choose that moment to ask a me a question and it seems everyone including him knows the answer except me.

I covered my head with shame when he got up and answered it for me. I just couldn't believe I just flunked that and all because of the devilish handsome, arrogant and rude kid at my back. And he has the gut to lean closer and whisper in my ear.

"babe, don't take it personal, ok, I know I am hot but you don't have to wet your panties imagining doing it with me because you are not my type, I don't do short ladies" he whispered after which giving my ear a suggestive lick.

'Ok, I know I am not tall but I am not that short for crying out loud, I am just average. And what makes him think I have the hots for him?' But I couldn't turn and tell him just that because the lecturer was still close to me.

Immediately the lecturer was done and out of the class, I turned to give him a piece of my mind but he wasn't there. What!!!! Did I just imagine what just happened or did he chicken out and ran. I smirked at the last part that played in my mind.

But I couldn't deny one thing he was very handsome and cute but he was still arrogant. How dare he insinuate I was short, I am small and not short.

I went outside to get fresh air because I was feeling very suffocated inside. I was just scrolling through my whatsapp messages when Jane came to me with a foreign note containing all the answers to the assignment, we immediately went to an empty hall to make note of it. This is popularly called "copy and paste" by student.

When we were done Jane was in a rush to leave, she was travelling as usual for the weekend so she gave me the note and told me to return it to his owner and she gave me his contact. And I was like 'great', now I have to look for a nameless guy and the only thing I know about the guy was that he was a guy.

But I couldn't stop thinking about the nameless guy.
