Hell

A loud beeping filled my ears. The alarm. The thing that woke me up just to send me away to hell, or school as some would call it.  I pushed up from my comfortable, but messy bed. I shuffled along the cream-beige carpet to my small bathroom, and looked into the mirror. My hair was disheveled, and the toll of insomnia was easily recognizable due to the dark bags that hung beneath my eyes. I brushed my teeth, and combed my hair out quickly. Then I headed back to my room, and changed into some simple clothes (jeans and a t-shirt). I ran down the slightly creaky steps, and into the kitchen. I peered over the stove and saw the time. "6:45! Shit!" I ran back into the living room, shoved on my shoes while I grabbed my bag, and bolted out the door. The loud slam rung behind me as my feet padded along the sidewalk. Although I was so caught up in running I didn't notice a person ahead of me. I tried to stop, but only ended up tripping and whacking into the persons back awkwardly causing the pair to flip face first into the cement. I soon realized I was on top of someone, and I felt my stomach lurch. 'Man I'm such a fuck up!' I thought. I stood up as fast as I could which was not a good idea. Dizziness hit me in waves and I fell straight back on my ass. On the other hand the person I had rammed into had already stood up, and were already brushing themselves off. He turned, and sent a harsh glare down at me. Although contrary to his glare his hand was still stuck out as an offer of help. I grabbed his hand and pulled up, and then spoke. "Sorry! I was in a rush and I wasn't looking where I was going!" I apologized. The surprisingly short man clicked his tongue, and asked, "Oi brat. The fucks your name?" I raised an eyebrow at his strange choice of words, but answered anyway. "Names (Y/N). What about you?" He responded simply as well. "Levi." Beep-beep-bee-. I stopped my watch and looked at the time. There was only 5 minutes before school started. "Shit I'm gonna be late" Levi said. 'Wait he's gonna be late? He goes to my school?! That's the only obvious answer! We're the only school in the whole of district 2 that started at 7:00 am!'  I thought. I noticed that Levi's figure had started making it further up the hill, and I decided I needed to run if I wanted to make it on time. I started running again, but instead of whacking into Levi, I just ran around him. "Oi! Shitty brat! Don't run!!" Levi called from behind me, but I just Ignored him. Sure I hated school, but grades were important. Besides I might as well try not to be a failure.
After practically sprinting my legs off, I rushed into the school, grabbed the books I needed, and practically dived into the class room. "Mister/Misses (Y/N). Would you mind telling me why you're late?" Mr. Springer asked. Despite my desperate attempts to push out an answer, all that came out was loud pants. "Never mind you can explain later. Just sit down."  I set my bag down next to Connie, and sat down. Connie hid his face in his arms. 'Man Connie has it rough. Having your parent as your math teacher probably sucks. Especially since his dad's such a hard ass.' I patted Connie on the back to cheer him up a bit. He rose his head up slightly, and gave a soft smile.
About 5 minutes later Levi showed up, due to my luck, got assigned to sit next to me, and got introduced as the new kid. 'That's why I didn't recognize him earlier.' Not only that Mr. Springer decided since we were both late I have to show him around. Since Levi, and I had 2nd period study hall together, we decided that's when I'd show him around. As I walked throughout the school telling Levi where his classes were, I couldn't help but notice his subtle muttering on how dirty the floors were. I turned, and faced Him. He looked at me puzzlingly. "Listen. I don't know what you were expecting Corporal Clean, but this is a public school. So would you stop muttering about the floors, and pay attention to where your classes are instead?" I remarked. "Fine." He huffed. "Tch. What's got you so pissed anyway?" I glared at him, but then continued walking.
The final bell rang marking the end of the school day. Although hell wasn't quite over. A group of broad shouldered jocks, and I had an arrangement. I headed down the now empty halls, and came to a stop at locker 262. I retrieved the crumpled note out of my pocket, and looked over it once more. It read "Freak, meet us by locker 262. We get you for 45 minutes. If you don't meet us then a certain Springer kids gonna get it. -Jocks" Connie already had to deal with people disliking him just because of his dad being a teacher here. I couldn't just toss more shit on to his plate. Finally I saw a certain horse walking towards me. Jean. Jean had started bullying me almost as soon as we got into high school.
Although...I could never blame him. It all started after his mom and dad divorced because of his dad's abusive behavior, but after the divorce Jean's mom picked up drinking, and the abuse started all over again. So I couldn't blame him it was really all he knew. The only exception was Marco, but Marco died last year due to a car crash. Some guy had drank too much, and wasn't in the condition to drive. The guy swerved straight into Marcos driver side killing him instantly, but crushed half of Marco's body. Jean had pretty much lost everything. He lost the only thing he loved. There was no way in hell I could blame Jean.
I kept my head hung low, and avoided eye contact as Jean grabbed me by my collar. He threw me as hard as he could against the floor. Pain rushed through me as Jean repeatedly kicked me in the ribs. He then picked up my head, and began to repeatedly slam it against the tile. It was a cycle. After he had his fill of slamming my head into the floor, he would begin to kick again. It had been about ten minutes, and I could feel myself get dizzier and dizzier. It was gonna be a long 35 more minutes, or I thought.
"Oi! What the hell do you think you're doing horse face?"
Levi.
And then the world went black.
