Today is the first Hogsmead day of the year. Only third years and above are allowed to go though. So the first and second years just lounge around the common room, or explore the castle.
So Merida explores the castle, the halls practically bare. As she descends the fourth floor staircase, her foot slips into the trick step.
"Eep!" She exclaims in surprise, as her foot continues to fall through. "Just bloody brilliant!"

"Professor McGonagall?"
"Yes, dear?"
"I was wondering if there was a spare classroom, preferably empty, that I could use?" Elicia asked. She gave the young girl a speculative look.
"I play violin and dance. Just wanted to make sure my skills don't get rusty while here."
Her look changed to one of acceptance.
"Yes of course. Follow me." They entered an old dusty classroom.
With a flick of her wand, the tables were gone. All dust vanished with the next flick.
"Anything else?"
"Could we transfigure a mirror with a bar on it?" She gave another questioning look. Elicia pulled out the photo of she and her mother in her first ballet practice.
"That mirror behind us. Something like that? Small is fine."
"Ah." And it appeared in an instant.
"Thank you so much."
"You're welcome." With that she was gone.
Elicia changed into her ballet tutu, and shoes. She delicately pulled out the gorgeous, black violin and began to play.
"I pirouette in the dark

As she finishes, a steady clap resonates through the room. Her head snaps toward the direction it came from.
