"Will you go to the dance with me tonight?" I look at him in awe. "Yes I will!".
Present time
"Yes I will!" Said Ashley as she ran up and hugged him. Ouch. That didn't hurt at all, I mean we are best friends but it was a tradition that he took me to the dance, just as best friends ya know?
I walked out seeming casual and when I turned that corner, I broke out running. My whole life felt like it was coming to an end. I ran right out of school not caring what would happen.
I was at me and Jacobs hangout at the park, crying. "Hey Abby, you okay?" I heard. I looked up to see my internet best friend Mia. I stood up quickly and hugged her. "Omg I'm no happy your here" I say crying into her shoulder. "Cmon tell me what happened" she said as we sit down under the tree as I tell her everything..
"Wow" she said looking at her shoes. "He seemed like such a good friend when you talked about him" she said looking at me. "He is, he's all that I have" I say putting my head between my knees. Then I got a text. It was from Jacob.
Jacob💛😛: Abbsters where are you?
I decided to not reply as I just stared at the message. "Aren't you gonna reply?" Says Mia as I look at her. "He can be pissed off, but he will know something's wrong when I don't answer his messages, and because I'm staying at his house until tomorrow" I say starting to cry more. "Abby" says Mia as he hugs me as I cry into her shoulder. "Well do you have a dress for the dance?" She says looking at me once again. "Yeah I do, I picked it out with Jacob" I say smiling. "I wanna see" she says jumping.
School didn't get out yet but Jacobs mom knew something was wrong so she let me go. She knew Mia cause I talked about her a lot. We were upstairs in my "room" and I showed her the dress. "Wow, Abby your gonna look great!" She says eyeing Down the dress. "Thanks Mia, but I'm having second thoughts about this whole dance thing" I say placing the dress backing the hanger. "What? No your going to that dance, I'm making you" she says looking deep in my eyes meaning it. "No! Ashley hates me and she could tell Jacob stuff about me! It started when it was in preschool!" I say yelling.
Flashback
I was with my best friend Ashly when we both had the last cookie, "I want it!" She says. "No I want it!" So we were tugging it left to tough when I pulled hard enough to make her loose her grasp and fall in the sand. The whole school laughed at her, including me.
End of flashback
"So she hates you because of a cookie 8 years ago?" Mia says rubbing the back of her neck. "Yeah pretty stupid right" I say laughing. "And I met Jacob that day too" I say laughing. "Oh my" she says laughing. We were talking about Jacob and Ashley for like 3 hours until Jacob came home.
I already had washed the makeup off my face so I was just my plain boring self. What am I saying? When I have makeup I'm still boring. Jacob walked into my room and hugged me. "Abby howcome you didn't answer my text?" He said looking at me. "I don't know Jacob" I say as Mia plugs in her phone making a sound. "And who's this?" He says looking at Mia. "That's Mia she's helping me through something personal" I say looking down at me shoes. "And you can't tell your best friend that?" He says putting his hand over his heart, pretending to be offended. "Actually, I can't tell you" I say sitting in the bed by Mia. "Mia can you tell me?" He says looking at Mia. "Sorry, I can't" she says looking at me As he looks back at me. "Abby, what's going on?" He says as I look at him. "I'm sorry Jacob I just can't tell you" I say as he stands up. "I thought you were my best friend! And best friends tell eachother everything!" He says yelling at me. "Jacob stop" I say looking down as a tear slips off my cheak. He knows when I hate him yelling at me. "No! I'm not gonna stop yelling at you! Your not being honest!" He says waking around in a quick circle. "You know what?bif your gonna be like that leave me alone! I say I can't tell you and you keep pushing it making matters worse!" Is at yelling back at him. "Your the one who won't tell me what's going on!" He says yelling as his mom comes into the room. "Jacob! Abby! What's going on!" He says looking at the both of us. "She won't tell me why she didn't answer my text and ditched school!" He yells. "Jacob!" His mom yells. "If Abby doesn't feel comfortable telling you what's going on, you should respect that!" She says as Mia stays quite on the bed. "Mom-" "no Jacob! Go to your room!" She says pointing out the door, as he storms out of the room. "I'm sorry Abby" she says as she hugs me, "Jacob will cool off sooner or later" she says rubbing my arms. "Hopefully" say as she walks out.
"Wow" says Mia as she gets up and Huggs me. "I might actually be saying this, but I'm loosing my bestfriend because of feelings" I say crying.
