felonies ➵ lucaya [ON HOLD]

prologue

"You smoke cigarettes?" I say with a tinge of disgust hinting at my questionable voice. He tilts his head, takes the cigarette out of his mouth and blows some smoke in my face. I cough a little and grimace from the horrid smell.

"Why would you care? I thought you were a rebel at heart." He says slipping the cigarette between his teeth. I shake my head and let out a bitter chuckle. "That doesn't mean I'm an idiot, unlike some poeple."

Maya Hart was a rebellious teen who lived dangerously. She was the type of person up for any adventure. She came home late, got into trouble at school, and committed felonies that didn't get her any where in life.

Her mother, Katy, had died in a car crash 6 months ago which made Maya boil inside. She knew she was a rebel that got into trouble but it was worse now that her mother wasn't here.

Shawn had taken her in since he was the one who probably cared about her the most. He became the Sheriff and was busy most of the time which meant Maya was left all alone. She had friends from school, but they were never close. They weren't up to an adventure that she needed.

She began doing felonies such as stealing, and breaking & entering as madness took over her from the cause of her mothers unfortunate death. It consumed her entirely and she wanted to turn it off. She wanted to turn all of her feelings off.

But she couldn't. Being reckless was the only answer that swirled in her brain.

She thought that all the pain would disappear one day but until then she wouldn't stop being the badass that she is.

Until one day she met someone exactly like her, the Mayor's son. Lucas Friar.

Things got real interesting.

Hiiiii okay I decided to make a lucaya book bc I know alotta ppl ship them so whyyyyy not. Probably won't update since schools started but you'll see.

I'm not sure if someone already has a plot like this bc I don't really read lucaya but oh well.
