MIKE'S P.O.V
"Where the hell are they?" Tony asks Jaime & I, a slight hint of worry on his face. He turns to face us both, taking his hands off the controller. "Don't you think they probably should have been back by now?"
I reluctantly pause the game. Call Of Duty would just have to wait. "Look, Tony, he's probably fine. Maybe he just had an amazing date, and they're just...I don't know..."
"Fucking?" Jaime laughs.
I smirk. "Victor's pretty out-of-practice, if I do say so myself!"
Jaime grins, no doubt loving where this conversation is heading. "I can see it now - Vic's getting all excited, thinking he's in for a fun night, and then...she leaves!"
Tony eventually brings a small smile to his face. "Yeah, I guess you guys are right. He'll be fine."
"Awesome, now that we've got that sorted out...can we start playing again?" Jaime eagerly grabs the controller like an excited little boy. I sigh and resume the game, laughing at how bad Jaime is at Call Of Duty.
"Are you kidding me?! I was taking cover, there's no way he could have shot me!!" he yells in annoyance, slamming the controller onto the table in defeat. Tony laughs. "Jaime, you weren't paying attention to what's going on behind you. If you were, then maybe I wouldn't have shot you."
Jaime turns around rapidly, his hands gesturing wildly. "But, we're on the same team!"
"If you weren't so fun to kill, maybe we could just hide you away while Tony & I go out and save the day." I shrug matter-of-factly.
"Am I really that bad?!" he yells, a smile on his face.
I lean towards him, until our faces are almost touching. "Worse," I utter.
"Ugh, you guys are no fun. I'm going to make some sandwiches." Jaime leaves his controller on the table, and walks over to the kitchen in our hotel room, pretending to drag his feet solemnly across the floor.
In the hotel corridor outside, I can hear people walking along the hallway together. Could it be Vic and Ebony?
I listen a little longer, and hear muffled voices not far from our door. I can definitely hear Vic's voice, and another, feminine one. There was no doubt about it - Vic had brought Ebony back to the hotel.
VIC'S P.O.V
"Don't worry, they'll love you," I whisper to Ebony, squeezing her hand in reassurance.
"I hope so," she replies, a worried expression on her face. "If the rest of your band don't like me, things could get pretty awkward for us."
I am about to knock when Mike swings open the door, taking me by surpise. "Hey, you two lovebirds. Have fun last night?" Mike winks at me, and I hit him playfully on the shoulder.
"Dude, we just fell asleep on the beach!" I insist.
"Sure, sure," he jokes. "Come in."
Me and Ebony walk into the hotel room, where we are greeted with some more hello's from Tony & Jaime, who emerges from the kitchen with what looks like a couple of cheese & tomato sandwiches.
"Guys, this is Ebony," I look at her, smiling, "my girlfriend."
"Wow, did you really agree to be his girlfriend?" Tony asks, a look of mock surprise on his face.
"Well," Ebony laughs, "there was a bit of bribing involved. But on the bright side, he now owes me enough tacos to last me the rest of my life!"
"You - you like tacos?!" Mike & Tony stutter, a look of happiness on their faces.
