Chapter 1

Savannah is above^^ (Gigi Hadid)

*Savannah's POV*

Walking down the street, making my way towards the same old coffee shop. It was truly a hole in the wall I have no idea why I love that place. It was quiet and inexpensive, quite the opposite of my lifestyle.

Making my way through the doorway, I spot my four friends in our usual spot at the corner booth. Giselle, Gigi for short, is a short, sassy, beautiful brunette. I have always envied her, she is absolutely gorgeous and has a boyfriend Sean. Kendall sat next to her, she was probably the one I was closest to. She had brown hair and was flawless. Callie was in the center, she had blonde hair like me and was the most sweeetest girl you could ever meet. Leo, her boyfriend is so lucky to have her. Last but not least, Leah sat next to Callie. Leah was the girl version of a player on and off relationships all over the place. Let's just say that the brunette is complicated.

I greeted them all and took my seat at the corner of the booth next to Leah. Yolanda, the owner of the coffee shop came up to the table and set my usual latte infront of me. I thanked her as she left and the girls immediately started a conversation.

"Sean is so amazing, he brought me a huge teedy bear for no occasion" said Gigi. Gigi is always talking about her boyfriend, she never talks about her family. When the topic comes up she says little to nothing. I know that she has two older brothers and her family is well off, but not muuch else. She said we wouldn't know who her family is because they are nothing big and she said her last name was something with a d, but I never really found out her last name and don't want to ask.

"I wish Leo would do that for me" Callie said with a pout. Leah seemed to agree, but Kendall and I were pretty bored with this topic as we are single. Gigi noticed this as she said " You guys are always excluded from these conversations, you should get boyfriends it's amazing!"

"For your information I am actually looking for a guy unlike Sav here" she said to Gigi as she pointed to me. Gigi seemed to realize this was true so she focused all of her attention to me. I sent Kendall a glare because I knew a lecture about me being single for the rest of my life was going to happen. I mean sure I have dated a couple guys, but not since my high school years. I have fallen in love before, but that ended with me getting hurt and I am too focused on my business right now to be thinking about relationships. When I came back from day dreaming I listened to the lecture occuring in front of me.

"... you really need to find someone or I will take matters into my own hands once again and this time you will not escape" Gigi said. Yes, she has attempted to play matchmaker, but that certainly did not work out since the guy was a total douche and I snuck out.

"You will not take matters into your own hands. When will you ever stop bugging me about this?" I stated with a frown.

"When you get a guy!" Gigi yelled extremely loud which caused the other people in the cafe to look. The other girls were just listening to the scene occur before there eyes and didn't make an attempt to speak since they have heard this lecture so many times.

"Well on the other hand we have got to get to work" said Kendall as she pulled my arm. Kendall works as my assistant at my hotel chain business, The Sky Gran Hotels. I am the head of the business and took control after my dad decided to retire.

" Right, I have to a meeting to get to in half an hour" I said as I kissed the girls cheeks and made my way to my black Range Rover down the street.

Kendall and I got to work and I made my way towards my office to get everything settled for the meeting. Grabbing my notes I walked out shutting the door and went to the conference room. I sat at the head of the table and people were already seated.

"Hello everyone, let's start this meeting immediately." I adressed all the people seated. We went over statistics and lets just say that business was declining due to more hotels being added in the areas near ours. Ideas were thrown around, but one idea stood out the most to me.

"What if we become a merged hotel, I hear Donovan hotels are also declining and if we merge we will become huge and business will go up. I mean everything will stay the same except we will have two CEO's now." said one of my workers, Fernando. That actually sounded like a pretty good idea because everything would pretty much stay the same.

"Excelllent idea, I will contact Mr. Donovan and schedule a meeting. Fantastic work Fernando" I said with a grin.

The last thing I heard about Mr. Donovan is that he retired and gave the company to his reckless son and that is why they weren't doing to good. I don't know the name of his son, but hopefully when I meet up with him he won't give me too much of a hastle.

I walked out of the meeting scheduling another in two weeks and called Kendall over to my office. I asked her to contact the new owner of Donovan hotels and she was excited right away.

"Oh my goodness! Do you mean Nicholas Donovan? He is so hot, I heard that he's a player though. Oh well, I will get you the information for the meeting as soon as possible boss" she stating saluting me. She has always had a great sense of humor.

I dug my head into some stacks of paperwork and by the time I looked up, it was late. So I packed up my bags, straightened out my dress, and made my way outside to my car. Once I was in my car, I had this weird craving for ice cream. I figured I have nothing else to do, so I made my way to the local grocery store. Once inside I went straight for the ice cream. I got a tub of mint chocolate chip and vanilla bean, my all time favorites. There was nobody at the store this late and the store was going to close soon so I made my way to the checkout.

All of a sudden some guy bumps into me knocking me and my precious ice cream to the floor. The stranger automatically apologizes for dropping me and gives me a hand. I reach for it and look into his eyes. His eyes are so green and beautiful, he looks like a model he is so gorgeous.

"Are you ok?" he asks as I come back to reality.

"Oh uhm yeah, thanks for the help" I said with a small grin.

"I'm Nicholas by the way, but you can call me Nick" he said to me holding out his hand for a handshake.

" I'm Savannah" I said as I shook his hand, but he had other plans and kissed the back of my hand leaving me flustered.

"I'm really sorry for bumping into you, it was nice meeting you gorgeous" he stated with a wink as he left leaving me quickly.

Oh no, Savannah stop he was just a stranger you'll never see him again.

I paid for my groceries and drove off to my apartment. I forgot about the ice cream and went to bed thinking of a certain green eyed stranger.
