Chapter 6

On Saturday at 2:00 p.m., Jessica got ready to go to the park.

"Jessica, are you ready?", her stepfather asked.

"I'm coming!", she said, walking downstairs.

They waved good-bye to her mother and Rachel and headed to the car.

At 6:50 p.m., Daniel arrived at Rachel's house.

"Hey, Rac.", he said.

"Hey.", she replied.

They hugged and went to the car.

When they got to Sal's, they waited for their friends.

"Hey, guys.", they said when they came in.

They hugged and sat together.

Then, the waitress came to the table.

They ordered Cokes for drinks.

The waitress came back with their drinks and took out the pen and pad.

"Are you ready to order?", she asked them.

"Can we have 2 pepperoni pizzas, please?",Daniel asked her.

"Sure.", she said, writing down the order.

"Thank You.", they said.

"You're welcome. I'll getcha order in.", she said and walked off.

As they waited, they talked about school.

Rachel's favorite subject is English, Daniel's favorite subject is Math, Sabrina's favorite subject is History, Heather's favorite subject is Science, Elizabeth's favorite subject is Math, Derrick's favorite subject is History, Ryan's favorite subject is Science, and Matthew's favorite subject is Math.

Then, the waitress came back with their pizzas.

"Here you go.", she said, putting the pizzas down.

"Thank You.", they said.

"Your welcome.", she said.

"Anything else?", she asked them.

"No ma'am, but thank you.", Daniel said.

"Okay, enjoy.", she said and walked off.

They took a slice of pizza and ate.

As they were eating, they talked about what they like to do for fun.

Some liked the movies, the park, and going out to eat.

After they finished eating, Daniel paid for the food and headed outside.

When their rides came, they waved good-bye and went home.

Every weekend, the group hung out with each other.

They talked and had a great time together.

Then, Daniel asked Rachel if they could just hang out at Sal's.

She agreed.

One Saturday night, Daniel and Rachel went back to Sal's alone.

After getting seated and ordering their food, Daniel looked at Rachel.

"Rachel, there's something I want to ask you.", he said.

"What is it?", she asked.

"Will you be my girlfriend?", he asked her.

"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend.", she answered.

"Great.", he said.

Then, the pizza came and they ate.

After they finished eating, they went home.

When they came to Rachel's house, they hugged and Daniel looked at Rachel.

"I love you, Rachel.", he said.

"I love you too, Daniel.", she replied.

They kissed each other and said good night.

On Monday after class, Daniel and Rachel told their friends they had something to tell them.

"What is it?", they asked.

"Rachel and I are boyfriend and girlfriend now.", Daniel said.

"Congratulations!", they said, hugging each other.

"Thanks.", they said.

Then, they went to class.

On Saturday, Daniel and Rachel went to Central Park and had a picnic.

After they ate, they took a walk through the park holding hands.

Then, they went home.
