The next day I sluggishly walked down the long hallway when all a sudden Kaileb gently pulled me aside from the crowded sea of hurried people. Trying to escape his strong grasp on my aching wrists I roughly yanked. I turned trying not to face him and his perfect blue eyes but he grabbed softly grazed his thin hand against my bruised jaw and looked into my hazel eyes. Hot tears streamed from my big watery eyes as I finally felt safe when I looked at his god like face.
"I'm sorry," he quitely whispered in my still ringing ear as he draped his long slender arms over my square shoulders. Quickly he swiped his smooth thumb over my burning tears. He gracefully walked down the chilly hall; I could still feel the stinging warmth of Kaileb's presence around my shivering body. An idiotic grin spread crossed my sad face now knowing that Kaileb cares. I happily walked to the giant door that lead to the counsiler's office. When I walked inside the cluttered office I seen a bunch of cheesy positive posters. Sitting on the plastic chair, Mr.Dawson and I sat there not talking for about another long hour and a half. I fastly studied him as he would look at me for a split second and then silently write in his tiny notepad.
When the small timer on the glass table in front of us went off I grabbed my heavy books and started to speechlessly walk out the warm small room when Mr.Dawson stopped me.
"I'm glad to see that you're happier than normal, but your bruises are getting worse. I think I might have to call home."
"Please! Don't call home! Please! I'm begging you Mr.Dawson! Please," I loudly cried out to Mr.Dawson as I fought back flaming tears.
"Fine." He lied. I didn't know he lied yet. The whole terrible bus ride I thought of how Kaileb had grazed my aching jaw line and a shiver shot down my freezing spine. A retarded smile spread across my reddening cheeks. Then I jumped off the gross city bus and walked to the block my house is on. When I got home things got worse.....
