I gulped as I sat uncomfortably between my parents while Bruno and his mother sat across from us.

"So Bruno...how are you doing in school?" My father asked swiftly like he would smirk if Bruno said his grades were bad.

"I'm doing pretty good, mostly B's. I do have a little trouble with English, but Jay has helped me focus better which has helped a lot."

Bruno turned and smiled at me making me blush.

Mom cleared her voice getting the attention.

"So Bernadette...you aren't married?"

"Mom!" I gasped at her, that is so rude.

"It's fine Jay. No I'm not married, I had Bruno at a young age and the father didn't want to stick around."

"Oh...I'm sorry!"

I think my mom felt a little bad now for asking.

"It's fine. So, David your a cop and you Michelle are...?"

"I am the owner of the Chelle's boutique."

"Oh! Wow that's amazing, I love that place."

"Aww! Thank you!" My mom gushed, she always like compliments."

I would like to say something kind of big." Bruno spoke after a while.

Everyone gave him a curious look.

"Jay and I are dating."

No one said anything and I was to embarrassed to say something.

"How long have you been together?" My dad spat out.

"We have been friends for a while now and we started dating a few days ago." Bruno said honestly.

"A while...is that were she is everyday after school? With you doing god knows what?" My dad started to rise his voice a little.

"Dad-"

"Jay look me in the eyes and tell me one thing..."

I turned and stared at him.

"Have you been having sex with Bruno? Answer honestly."

I gulped, I wanted to lie, but he would see right throw it.

My dad got angry as he stood up and slammed his chair him making me flinch.

"Sir-"

"Shut it!"

"Jay, Michelle! We are leaving!"

My mom sighed before standing up.

"I'm sorry." Mom and I both said before walking behind Bruno.
