♡ Arianna's POV. ♡

''This is the city darling!'' Eva said in an excited tone as we passed a big stone sign with ''MARBELA'' wrote on it in capital letters.

I couldn't help but stare at the beautiful view passing outside my window. There were palm trees along the road, and I could see the Mediterranean Sea on my left but there were houses, actually, I would rather say mansions which hid it partially. I could still notice a port filled with hundreds of, mostly, sail boats. I watched as we passed a lot of shops, terraces and restaurants. When we arrived at an intersection, Eva turned right and we started to drive up the hill.

There was a security gate the stopped us from going further. At least, I’ll be safe and won’t fear being robed or something.

I think my aunt knew the guard because he let us pass quickly without any complications.

‘’We’ll have to make you a resident card if you want to be able to circulate freely this summer.’’ She said without taking her eyes of the now curvy road.

Her mansion was the last on hill, so it was situated completely at the top of it.

We finally arrived in front of the driveway leading up to an enormous orange house. The car stopped in front of it beside a fountain with the sculpture of a Greek goddess in the middle.

I stepped out of my aunt's car and was greeted by an impressive house. From far away, it didn't seem so huge, but now that I was in front of it, I felt like a small ant.

Eva parked her car in the front alley and frowned as she got out of it. She searched for something in her purse and finally took out a sort of remote. She pushed a button and as soon as she did so, I noticed the front gates closed in synchronization.

I spanned around to look again at the mesmerizing house and a really tall suit wearing man was taking my suitcases and placing them on an enormous tray.

''Dear, you look like a 5 year old in front of a candy store'' Eva said chuckling.

I snapped out of my staring state and gave her a shy smile even though I hated her for acting like we were really close to each other. I know it's really hypocrite, but I can't help it. I don't know, it's in my nature, when I don't like something I'm not saying it out loud, I just keep it to myself.

I decided to follow her in the house and, again, I couldn't help but be impressed by the hugeness of this building.

'' Edgar, may you please show to Arianna the house and take her suitcases up in her room?'' Eva said to the men that took my luggage earlier.

''Of course miss Rodriguez.'' Edgar responded to her, without a trace of emotion on his face. Then he turned to look at me and simply said: ''May you please follow me miss..?''

''You can call me Arianna." I responded quickly and followed him as he showed me the place. After walking for 15 minutes, we finally made it to my room.

My jaw dropped to the floor when I discovered what would be my ''room''. I have to say that the word ''room'' is in quotation marks because what was in front of me was certainly not a room. It was more like a house! Okay, maybe not, but it was still ten times bigger than my room back in Canada. I even had my own bathroom and balcony. The room decoration was really simple, but I liked it that way. I don't know, too much is... well... Too much!

The walls were a beautiful shade of pink as well as the queen sized bed's sheets. The curtains were white, and oh my gosh! As I stepped on the balcony, I couldn't help but notice the stunning view of the Mediterranean Sea and beach at the bottom of the cast the mansion was on.

I felt like I was in paradise.

Oh

My

God

I can't believe this will be my room for 2 months.

2 MONTHS.

Damn.

Finally this summer wouldn't be THAT awful after all..!

''May I Ieave now miss Arianna?'' Edgar asked.

I was so mesmerized by all of this that I totally forgot he was still there.

''Oh! Eum, sure!'' I responded with a cheeky smile.

He then turned and was about to leave before he added:

''I forgot to mention that your aunt would like you to join her for dinner this evening; we will call you on the intercom when it's ready. Oh! And we printed you 2 copies of the map of the house, in case you get lost, they're in this drawer.'' He added quickly and pointed at the drawer he was talking about.

''Thanks!''

He nodded and without any trace of emotion, he exited my room.

I decided to unpack and place all of my stuff in the thousands of compartments of the room. I started by my favourite part: organizing my closet, but when I opened the -- I’ll rather say walk-in -- I was surprised to see it almost full. There was a lot of limited edition and new collection designer clothes and accessories such as Versace, Michael Kors, Chanel, Louis Vuitton handbags that even my parents together couldn't afford.

Fashion was one of my biggest passions. I always secretly wished I could be a fashion designer later or even a top model. But because of the lack of fund and like I mentioned earlier (my Spanish family never helping us out), I abandoned the idea. So this designer closet was definitely one of my many dreams coming true this summer.

When I was done placing the small amount of clothes I brought with me in the already full walk-in and arranging my other stuff, I decided to change into some more summery clothes (high-waisted shorts and an oversized tank top) and go on an exploration mission before dinner.

I took a small black Burberry bag and put my new iPhone (yes, the reason why I’m here today..!) in it. I also took one of the maps of the mansion in case I get lost.

After 15 minutes of exploring the inside of the house I started really questioning myself about how my aunt, who was divorced, could afford this type of house and finally arrived to the conclusion that I didn't know much about this woman that was hosting me.

I arrived at the first floor and managed to found the back door that was leading to an enormous back yard that was divided in 2 sections; the first one it was the ''falling pool'' section where you had a gigantic pool that was stopping at the extremity of the yard and giving you the impression you were swimming in the Mediterranean sea -->

In 1 spot of the pool there was like a floating dock where you could just sit and admire the landscape. On the other side of it, there was a mini bar filled with all kind of liquids prepared and served by a hot tanned barman.

This section of the yard was placed right in front of the back doors of the mansion and you had to turn to the left, climb down 2 or 3 stairs and on your right, you could see throughout the pool because the left edge of it was made of glass.

After that you had to walk on a white simple path to arrive to the second section. It was a barbecue/lounge one because of the fire and barbecue tool placed in the middle of about twenty comfortable looking chairs that I saw on Tumblr.

There was also 2 swing chairs placed at the back of the section, facing the sea, to make you feel like you're swinging in the air.

I decided to sit on one of the swing chairs and just enjoy the moment.

The sight was amazing; in front of me was one of the most beautiful seas in the world extending to infinity. I took a deep breath and just listened to the soft sound of the air and waves brushing through my ears.

I smelt the nice smell of summer; a combination of sand, sea, grass and trees.

My eyes closed slowly and I fell asleep.
