I fell for him; Hunter Rowland

Chapter 8

~Weston~

After seeing Brielle's text I'm running as fast as I can to her house, Ree's on the phone with me she called me right after that text came in too make sure I was going to make sure she's okay.

I arrive at her house and run through her front doors "Brielle!" I yell, I take a glimpse of the downstairs she's no where too be seen, I run up the stairs and I see her bathroom door closed.

"Brielle!" I yell then start messing with the door handle, Right now I don't give a fuck about my phone, I throw it onto the ground. I kick the door making it open and all I see is Brielle pass out, "REE CALL 911" I yell as tears spill out of my eyes.

I hear sirens "Brielle, stay with me.. Please" I beg shaking her body, The paramedics arrive and tell me to make room so I go out into the hallway.

Ree runs upstairs a few moments later with Mario, she starts balling "No pulse" I hear one of the paramedics say. They bring Brielle out on a stretcher.

"I can't tell her mom" Ree says "Neither can I" I state "I'll just do it" Ree walks away "Weston she'll be okay" Mario says "And what if she's not? She's my best friend and I can't be here without her" I say tears coming down my face. "I should of got here faster, I could have stopped her" I begin "Her moms gonna give us a ride to the hospital" Ree says walking back into the room with a tear stained face.

We all walk down stairs to the living room, We just sit on the couch in silence, Ree gets a call "It's Hunter" She says "Ill tell him" Mario says taking the phone and walking into another room.

"We just need to think positive" Ree says looking over at me "She tried to take her life at 13, a few weeks before her birthday.. Nothing positive about that" I state "I meant like her being okay, lets hope she'll be okay and make  any doubt we have in our minds disappear" She explains "She didn't have a pulse.." I begin and a tear slips out of my eye "She'll be okay.." Ree says and we hear a honk outside the house which means her mom is here.

Mario hands Ree her phone "How'd he take it?" She asks "Well.. He's balling his eyes out on broadcast.." Mario says "You told him while he was on broadcast?!?" Ree asks "Yeah.. He asked about it" Mario defends and Ree gets mad and walks out to the car.

We just follow, Brielles mom gives Mario the key to lock the front door because the last thing they need is someone robbing them while they have this going on.

"What happened?" Brielles mom asks "Well, Jacob said some really mean stuff and I'm pretty sure her and Mark got into a fight..." Ree explains "That's all I know" She adds.

"Well the hospital got her a pulse and pumped her stomach getting all the medication out, They are putting stitches in her really deep cuts as we speak" Brielles mom explain "Will she be okay?" I ask "They said she should be fine" her mom speaks "Okay" i reply and the rest of the car ride was silent.

We arrive at the hospital and her mom talks to the doctor, "When's Hunter coming?" Ree asks "Soon" Mario replies.

"Okay, well Brielle's awake" her mom says "Who wants to see her first?, one at at time for she's not stressed out" she adds

Everyone looks at each other "I'll go" I get up and then her mom leads me to the hospital room.

Once we arrive there, her mom walks away. I knock on the door and then walk in.

"Hey Weston.." She says "How are you feeling?" I ask curiously "I'm fine" she shrugs "If you were fine you wouldn't be here" I mumble "What?" She asks "Never mind don't worry" I reply.

"Are you mad?" She asks "Not mad, just upset" I explain "Why?" She questions "Are you seriously asking me why?" I ask "Sorry" she replies.

"Feel better" I say walking away from the room, it kills me seeing her like that, sitting in a hospital room because she tried to take her own life..

"My moms coming to get me... I can't see her today" Ree states "Okay" is all I say "I'm going home too" I add.

"I'm going to stay with Brandon and Hunter" Mario says, "Alright" Ree replies then hugging him "You can go dude it's fine" Hunter cuts in, he got here while I was in the hospital room I guess, "Nah dude I'll stay" He says. "Want a ride?" Ree asks me, "Yeah, why not?" I answer and then we walk outside.

•Hunter•

~3 hours later~

Right now it's 10pm and visiting ends at 10:30, Brandon and Mario already saw her and I've been sitting here thinking, like I love this girl and she's broken like this..

I just don't want to break down in front of her..

"Go Hunter, you know after today you can't go until she leaves because she's going to be on suicide watch" Brandon explains.

I look at him and then walk to the hospital room, I don't know if I'm ready to see her but I'm going to anyways.

The room comes into sights and while I walk into the room, I bang my arm into a wall... Smart Hunter smart.

"Fuck" I whisper to myself "You okay?" Brielle laughs "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" I laugh nervously.

She shrugs, "It's 10:20" she sighs "10 more minutes, then I can't see anyone for a bit" she adds "I love you" she says looking away "I love you too" I reply, I don't know if she's saying this because she's scared but I actually do love her.

"I should probably get going" I say getting up, "Bye Hunter" she replies, I walk over to her and give her a kiss on the forehead.

I then leave the room and go wait for my mom.. This actually sucks.
