*Ella's POV*
I was beyond nervous as I walked down the hall of my new school. My parents had been offered new jobs, and they had accepted them. All they really care about is money. As if we don't have enough money.
For as long as I can remember, my parents had always tried to buy my love. They would totally forget about my birthday, and then make up for it with some fancy gift. But, I don't want gifts or money. I don't expect them to drop everything and give me all their attention. It would be nice to get some acknowledgment once in a while.
I walked over to my new locker and put in the combination. I did my best not to look around the school. I was aware of all the eyes on me. After I got my locker open, a girl with long, wavy, dark hair came over to me and smiled. "Hi! I'm Madison! Madison Beer." She said happily. I nervously returned the smile and put my books in my locker.
"I'm Elizabeth Wood. But everyone calls me Ella." I said trying to hide my nervousness. Some other girls came over to us. "I'm Maggie Lindermann." Maggie said smiling at me. All the other girl introduced themselves and invited me to sit with them at lunch.
I gladly accepted the invite.
And then my school day began.
"So, there's a football game after school. It starts at seven," Maggie said "Are you coming, Ella?"
Everyone waited for my response. "Sure." I said and smiled in agreement. Everyone squealed and started telling me about who we were going up against.
"Harold West High School. They're are biggest rivals." Madison said and I listened carefully. "We never associate with anyone who goes there. And as the popular group, it's our job to be a good example." said Rosa.
I don't like Rosa. I don't know why.
She has beautiful blue eyes, and long dirty blonde hair. Why I don't like her, I'm not sure. She seems full of herself and.... I don't know.
They started telling me how I should dress, where to meet them, and how to act.
I met Madison, Maggie, Rosa, and everyone else where they said to.
I dressed how they told me to and did my hair how they suggested. (Image above)
Then the game started.
(A/N: I don't know that much about football. So skip to half time. By the way, I'm sorry I'm skipping so many parts.)
I walked down to the foot stand so I could get some more popcorn. Madison came with me, because she had to use the bathroom. I got my popcorn and waited by the fence for Madison. Then, I heard a voice say "Hey."
I looked up to see a guy with dark brown hair and blue eyes.
I smiled at him and he leaned up against the fence. "I'm Hayes." he said with a perfect smile. But then, I noticed something that freaked me out a bit. His football jersey.
Damn it! He goes to Harold West High School! Crap! Crap! Crap! "Ew." I said and attempted to walk away, but he grabbed my arm. "What did I do?" He asked with a confused expression on his face. "I go to Bridge Wood High School." I said.
It only took a second for it to sink in for him. He quickly let go of my arm and walked away.
(A/N: So, this chapter SUCKED! But, it will get better! Check out my other book "Insanity" it's also a Hayes Grier fan fiction and I'm rreeaallyy sorry that)
