chapter one

I woke up to the sound of the suitcase wheels screeching along my wooden floor. Hoping my mom wouldn't notice my absence from my slumber, I pretended to be asleep. She knew me well enough to know what I was up to.

"Mia, I know your awake. I think the best thing you could do is get up and get showered. Good first impressions are always the best." I groaned and turned my back on my mother, who has become more of a pest than flies themselves.

My name is Mia. I'm a 16 year old American girl from LA. I come from a wealthy family, my dads a surgeon and my mom is a lawyer. I've two older sisters and an older brother. My siblings are all very clever, and then there's me. All the pressure of me to do as well as my siblings has made me turn out the way I am... Wild.

This semester my parents are sending me to a boarding school in Dallas, Texas. I am so not happy about this. Apparently it's 'to tame my wildness' as my daddy says. Today I'm leaving LA, where I won't return till term break which is in two whole months. This means I'm leaving behind my friends, the beach, party's, gambling, alcohol, my chihuahua, my horse and my $100,000 range rover. Instead I'm going to a stupid old boarding school for 'delinquents.'

I'm so not a delinquent.. I'm just a bit out of control sometimes.. Maybe a lot.
