Oh god. Of course. He has to be here. With her.
This is supposed to be my place. My get away. He's not aloud to take this from me. It's mine.I kept my head up as I strutted purposefully into my favourite coffee shop the beans knees. I know, cheesy name right? Still it's kinda cute.
I walked up to the counter and faced my favourite barista Leon.
Leon was a pretty cool guy, sometimes even gave me a drink on the house. We saw each other nearly everyday so we'd gotten to know each they fairly well this past year since he started working here."Hey Princess Leia!" Leon greeted me enthusiastically. Starwars was kinda our thing.
"Hey Le. Gimme a mocha chino with a caramel shot please?" I asked. It may sound super sweet and it is. But that's what makes it so good. I stood to the side of the counter, nodding my head slightly to the beat of Au Revoir by the front bottoms playing through a single ear phone. I closed my eyes trying to take my mind off of the fact that he was probably looking at me right now. Glancing at me through out different stages of his conversation with his new girlfriend.
"Here you go princess" Leon passed me the hot beverage with a sympathetic face. He knew everything about what happened. And who was here.
I gave a small smile
"Thanks"I walked over to my usual table in the corner of the room. Well I was about to before I walked right smack into something. Or rather someone.
Some one tall and from the cologne like smell probably male.
Please don't be, please don't be, please don't be.
I looked up at the giraffe that was at least six feet tall and breathed a sigh of relief. Well damn he was certainly a very attractive giraffe. An attractive giraffe that had hot coffee spilled on his Aqua blue shirt. Also an attractive giraffe that was glaring at me coldly. If looks could kill I would be six feet under.
I blushed deep red. Thankfully there were only a few people in the shop.
"I'm so sorry, oh my god. NAPKINS WE NEED NAPKINS" I frantically called out.
Leon was already beside me passing me a handful.
I didn't bother to thank him.
I scrubbed at the giraffes t-shirt for a good ten seconds while he stared at me like I was a crazy person. Which I kinda was.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" I repeated.
He gently pushed me off of him.
Oh wow he was still giving me a death glare, that's cool, not worrying at all.
"Jesus stop touching me. Just watch where your going." He snapped at me.
I nodded pursing my lips to stop from snapping back.
"God, clumsy bitch" he muttered shouldering past me.
Oh hell no.
"Sorry what was that?" I questioned raising my eyebrows.
He stepped closer.
"I said, clumsy bitch"
He was challenging me.
"Okay well, you're a fugly monkey" I smiled widely at him.
"Toodles!" I was about to strode away before he latched onto my wrist jaw clenching.
He pulled me to him making my breath hitch. He smelled really good. Like really good.
"What was that princess?" He asked me in a low husky voice.
"HA princess! That's what I call you!" Leon laughed calling to me enthusiastically. I nodded.
"I'm aware Leon thank you"I ripped my arm from attractive giraffes grip and sprinted out the door.
"ADIOS!" I called out before turning a corner and stopping to breath. Man I'm out of shape. No friggin way was I running anymore. I walked through the streets only passing s few people in the way.
It took me ten minutes to walk home.
"I'm home" I called out expecting a warm welcome from my mother.
"She's out getting groceries" my brother told me walking into the room.
"YAY. Is she getting juice?" Juice was what I drunk almost everyday. I couldn't help it its just so good.
Carter rolled his eyes.
"Yes Leia, she is getting juice. Again."
I smiled contently before going upstairs to my room to watch anime for the rest of the day. It took me until I flopped onto my bed to realise I hadn't had a run in with him. Jonah. He hadn't spoken to me once. Not that he'd had much of a chance with attractive giraffe and all.
I shook all thoughts of earlier out of my head and played Noragami on my laptop. I then proceeded to watch it until 11pm only stopping to get my juice when my mother got home.
