Dear Jamilia,

Don't forget to be yourself. You don't ever want to someone else, someone you're not, because you will only make yourself miserable. Everyone is SUPPOSE to be different from the other but with today's society...everyone is like everyone else. Sad if you ask me. I mean who wants to be like everyone else? I don't. I ENJOY being who I am...being separated from the cliche of high school groups slash clicks. My click is called...Jamilia Niles Mantra. I am my own click.

Anyway...never lose sight in who you are or where you came from. Once you lose yourself...it's hard to find them again.

So, be careful and make new friends or a friend at your new school.

Jamilia quickly placed her journal into her bag before getting off her bike, throwing her bag over her shoulder and heading towards the entrance of the school.

Today is going to be a good day. She thought as she walked through the front door and down the hall towards her locker.

After picking up her schedule yesterday, she took the time to get familiar with the school and find where all her classes were located. She had all AP classes, even JROTC.

"Hi!" Jamilia jumped a bit startled by the sudden intrusion of silence and space. Turning around she comes face to face with a short red haired girl with chin length hair, dressed a black fitted t-shirt, blue jean skirt with matching black chucks. Her hair was a fiery red with orange red roots. She was a beautiful girl.

Wow, she's beautiful.

"Uh, hi." Jamilia says.

"I'm Hailey Wilson. You must be Jamilia Niles?" She questioned.

Jamilia smiles at her,"Yeah, that's me. I, uh, don't mean to be rude but I'm...did you need something?" She questioned.

Hailey smiles,"I was asked to show you around school." She cheers.

Jamilia smiles and relaxed a bit,"Oh, I'm, okay. Just let me grab my math book." She says, turning back towards her locker, grabbing her math book, placing her bag into her locker and closing it,"Ready?"

Hailey smiles and nods vigorously,"Ready!" She squeals before wrapping her arm around Jamilia's and almost dragging her down the hall,"We are going to be best friends...I just know it." Says Hailey.

Jamilia chuckled at her enthusiasm,"You're a very happy person." She pointed out.

"Is that a bother? I know some people can become annoyed with me." She says.

Jamilia shook her head,"Oh, No, not at all. I like it."

Hailey smiles widely,"Good. I can't WAIT to introduce you to everyone. They are going to LOVE you." She says.

Jamilia sighed but nodded,"Cant wait."
