--Jessica--
"Get out....." His hand grabbed my wrist.
"What?" i forced a small smile on my face.
His hand was clamped down on my wrist, "i said get out." His eyes grew dark.
My happiness started to crack.
"Derek, I....."
"Get out." His knuckles where white, my wrist hurt. i slowly placed my free hand on his shoulder and looked into his dark eyes.
"Derek, let go." It came out as a whisper at first
He gripped down harder...
"Stop!" i started to scream, he slowly let go.
I looked down at my wrist and i could clearly see his finger marks tattooed onto my wrist in white. the world seemed to stop as i looked back up at him. his face was red and his lips were pressed into a straight white line. I wanted to run full sprint out of his small house, but i slowly went to grab my coat, I was to slow, his hand hit me in the face throwing me back into the wall, my air seemed to vanish from my lungs, as i struggled for air my focus went to Derek charging at me like a wild animal out for blood.........my happiness shattered.
i scrambled to the door trying to dodge Derek, when i found the door i quickly opened it and ran. icy wind blasted me in the face as i stumbled through the mounds of snow, i kept running until i got into the inner city, tears stained my face and i hurt all over. all my money was in my coat....the one i left at Derek's house.
"Jessica?" i froze, i could hear my heart pounding.
A hand gently grabbed my shoulder, i slowly turned around.
"Ryan?" His eyes scanned the bruises on my arms and face.
"Jess, what happened?" i exploded into tears.
we slowly walked into a near by cafe.
~~Ryan~~
i bought her a coffee and tyred not to watch her cry, i new if i asked her questions it would make her cry more and i really didn't want that to happen. my gaze focused on two people sitting on the opposite side of the cafe talking extremely close to each other.
"Ryan." her voice surprised me.
"yeah?' my locked into hers.
"thank you." she whispered.
"i don't know why your thanking me, this coffee sucks." i smiled i knew what she meant but i didn't know what to say to it. i looked back at the two people who managed to get even closer to each other they were intensely talking about something, but i couldn't hear them over the slow hum of the coffee machine. we sat there in humm of the coffee machine for awhile.
she hadn't changed much from high school, her long brown hair still rested on her shoulders and hung in her pale blue eyes. The two other people in the cafe were pressed up next to each other still trying to get closer as there lips touched. i looked at Jessica then back at the couple smashed together.
"jess do you want me to walk you home?"
"its way out of the city." she mumbled.
"to the buss then." she looked up at me curiously, i nodded my head back to the couple. she started laughing.
