Parents think they have the throne. They sit on this large pedestal, becoming the dictator of this place they call home. They work to support their children. Which we should all be thankful for. But that's what comes with having a child. They have no choice but to support us. But all we are is another version of what they wanted to be. They create us and grow us to be a better version of them. Not who we want to be. Parents do not care about what we want to be. Who we feel we are suppose to be inside our hearts. They choose to not accept us because they see disgrace and disappoint when we aren't who they wish we were. They break us down, trying to make us who they want to be by force. Parents aren't who we need to look up too. They are a disgrace to their destiny. They are corrupted from that throne. The throne is poison, filling them with unlimited power. Making us children feel small. Us children have no say, for parents have all the grace. They get to have their say and everything goes their way. Now don't get me wrong, there are some amazing parents out there. The ones that don't sit on that great throne of corruption. When we children are all peasants. The parent becomes our Robin Hood, a peasant like the rest of us. But still supports us. Making us all equal. These corrupted parents think reverse psychology is the way to teach a kid discipline. Everytime they mess up, you make the punishment worse. Thinking that maybe, just maybe the child will stop. But they only make them worse. Destroying their hearts. Belittling them. Making them feel like they have no more power. Bringing that poison to their heart. Parents towering over them, raining supreme because they have the power. Us children try to hold back the pain in our hearts and block that poison out, but how full can the cup get until it overflows? Once parents are on that pedestal, there is no getting down because it becomes an addiction. Power is a destructive addiction. Yet can be used in optimistic ways.
