Eleven

Jamie-Leigh's POV~
We were at the pool sunbathing the next afternoon, it was already 4pm, time was going so fast. It was around 38 degrees out and Connor had already been sunburnt. He leant over to me

"So, how about a nice dinner tonight?" he smiled covering his eyes from the sun

"Sounds great" I replied pulling my sunglasses back over my eyes

"Good, now how about coming in the pool with me" I laughed at how childish and eager he was, I shook my head

"No thanks, I'm okay here" I said which wasn't the best idea as a second later he picked me up in bridal style and brought me over to the pool, I was screaming and kicking trying to get him off of me but he wouldn't put me down

"3..." he was now rocking me back and forth "2..." I was now struggling to get out more "1..." I knew he wasn't getting off me so I closed my eyes and waited until I felt the cold water cover my whole body making me shiver, I came up and saw him laughing hysterically so I got out quickly while he didn't notice and pushed him in, following shortly after

"No..no way did you push me in" he said in between breaths

"I did! Now we're even" I laughed

"I didn't even see you get out the pool?" He grabbed my waist and I wrapped my legs around him. We still weren't officially together and I was getting the feeling he would never ask me, just presume we are together. We swam and messed around for abit until we decided we should get ready for dinner. we both had a shower and I had dried my hair

"How about you wear your new dress" he smiled holding the box

"Good idea, I wanted to save it for something special" I smiled putting the box onto the bed

"Well tonight's going to be a very special night" he looked at me and stared for a moment until he went into the bathroom to sort his hair out.

We were walking towards a restaurant not to far from the hotel, the sun slowly starting to set, everything was so beautiful, from the palm trees on my right that let little ray's of sun seep through the gaps between each leaf, making it look very magical to the high rise buildings on my left, lights lighting up the streets and skies for miles.

"Jamie? Jamie" I returned to reality and realised that Connor was repeating my name as he walked holding the restaurant door open for me

"Oh, thankyou" I walked in revealing a room with water falling down the walls into little fountains on the floor, a bridge led us to the tables where we were seated and handed two menus. I thanked the waiter and looked at the choices on the menu.

"Thankyou, it was lovely" I said to the waitress as she collected our dessert plates

"Jamie have I told you how beautiful you look tonight" he smiled, holding my hands

"Yes, about 8 times but thank you again, you look very handsome yourself"

"Oh stop, you're making me blush" he joked covering his face making me laugh, his face turned into a serious look

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Nothing, I was just erm.. Would you like to maybe.. Be my girlfriend?" He looked so nervous so I wrapped my hands in his and smiled

"I would love to" his face brightened and we both stood up ready to leave, I wrapped to arms around his waist as we walked out into a beautiful scene, the sun setting over the sea. We were both quite tired so decided to head back to the hotel, it was only a ten minute walk but we walked slow to take in the surroundings

"Are you coming?" I asked Connor when we reached the hotel. He kept looking over my shoulder

"Yeah, I just need to do something, I'll be up in a minute" I kissed him and went into the lift, watching him leave the hotel and turn left. I got changed and could see he sun set perfectly through the window so decided to take a picture. Just before I was about to take it I saw Connor talking to a girl, the same girl who was at the school fair, the one who made me have a break down in the school toilets. I watched for a moment when they kissed, I felt my heart being ripped out and threw into a black hole, I threw the new dress in the floor, ripped up the box it was wrapped in and scrunched up the necklace in my hand. I slammed the hotel door behind me and left, when I got outside I couldn't see either Connor or the girl and I just walked down the long straight road, slowly the walking turned into jogging which then turned into running, when I finally got out of breathe I didn't know where I was, I slid down the wall and cried, I felt so humiliated, like everyone was laughing at me for being so stupid thinking this would work.
