"I'm going to fight in MMA in a few years babe." Ryan said his voice full of excitement. I looked at my boyfriend skeptical. How could he fight when he wasn't even all that fit? I mean, if he dropped some weight then maybe.

"Yeah, right after you drop 200 pounds." I spill out.

Ryan stood there frozen and his jaw dropped to the ground. My best friend Rylee stopped eating her food and she stared at me her facial expression shocked.

"Excuse me?" he said.

I opened and closed my mouth. "Oh my god, did I say that out loud?"  I look over to Rylee and she nods slowly.

"Yeah, you did, so mind repeating it for me?" He sat down in the chair in front of me and stared into my eyes.

"I-I didn't say anything. . ." my voice trembled and I looked away from his eyes.

His hand guided my cheek back to his glare and said in a low voice, "What. Did. You. Say."

Tears streamed down my face as I squeaked "Right after you drop 200 pounds." He let go of my face and stormed out of the cafeteria leaving me alone with my shocked best friend named Rylee.

"What did you just do?" Rylee said, wrapping her arms around me.

"I don't know!" I sob in her arms, and calmed down before I chased after Ryan.

"Ashley, wait!" I heard Rylee call, but it was too late, I was already out of the cafeteria doors and entering the courtyard where I found him sitting in the courtyard with his friend Jack. When he saw me he grimaced and turned away. Jack saw me too and I saw him mouth "bitch" before he turned and walked with Ryan to the other side of the courtyard.

"Ryan!" I call, I turned around to see Rylee reaching for my arm, and dragging me back to the cafeteria.

"What are you doing?!" I screech, "I have to apologize!"

"Do you honestly think that that is a good idea right now?"

"Call me crazy, but yeah! I think it is!" I scream.

"Okay! You're crazy!"

"Rylee this isn't your relationship so stay out of it."

"He's my best friend, and you hurt him, so I have the right to help him, and you out."

"Then take my side Rylee, what, so you're taking his side now?"

"I can't believe you just said that. You know what, I hope you rot in hell bitch, you better watch what you say for now on."

My jaw dropped as I saw Rylee storm out into the courtyard and gave Ryan a hug and comforted him.

"We'll see bitch." I mutter.

The first bell for class rang and students filed out of the cafeteria to their classes.

I waited outside the fourth period chem classroom when I saw Ryan and Rylee slowly walk to the classroom. Ryan and Rylee walked in without giving me a second glance. My jaw dropped as I saw Ryan and Rylee claim their spots in the back corner next to the window.  I took a deep breath and slowly approached them, not taking my eyes off of Rylee.

"Excuse me, but that's my seat." I say coolly.

"Well, Ryan doesn't want you here, so shoo, go sit somewhere else." She snapped.

"Are you serious?" I say.

"Yes, now go." Rylee turned away from me and got into a deep, whispered conversation with Ryan, who didn't talk, just nodded sadly.
