He first came when a book was too high on a shelf.

He pulled it down for me.

I said thank you.

His smile like the sun, eyes like the stars.

Soul like the shimmering sea.

I said I love you.

Sun and stars choked out by death.

Soul mangled like the car's body.

I said where are you?

Nights cold and dark, joyless.

Without my love, lonely.

I said I miss you.

Small, warm body, tears in my eyes.

Brought into this world by me.

I said she's my peice of you.

Life goes on, day in and day out.

No other man compares to he.

I said I'm still in love with you.

Passion for him still burning in my soul as I lay sick, dying.

I remember our love at first sight.

As I close my eyes for eternity

I say thank you.
