Introduction
Rigel looked back at the shaken teenager he was driving. Her hair was singed and she had a cut on her right cheek that hadn't dried yet. "You're bleeding." He said bluntly.
"It's not bad." She responded blandly while wiping it on her jacket sleeve, not looking up from the window of the black sedan. The sky was dark and it had started to rain, though not nearly enough to put out the blazing fires outside. Several buildings had been reduced to nothing but ash and charcoal, cinders still jumping from the piles of charred stone. The next ten minutes they drove in silence, staring out at the destruction.
"I thought I could save them this time." The girl said softly.
"There was nothing you could do to stop it." Rigel continued driving without removing his shades. "The Fyrestone moved on I assume."
The girl nodded.
"We can only hope you'll have more luck next time." He flipped a switch on the dashboard and they left the third world to crumble.
