Alfredo Flores' Cousin

Chapter Two

I asked Kenny to turn on the radio and I started to sing a long. When I finished singing everyone was staring at me, I giggled and looked at everyone. "Was I that horrible" I questioned, "You were amazing" Alfredo said, I laughed and said thank you. I sing like everyone else, in the shower or when I'm really feeling the song, but I've never actually thought if I was good at singing. "We might need to get you on Justin's tour" Kenny joked, "Nah, he can keep his tour to him self" I said. "So we have a Bieber hater" Kenny said and winked, "No, I just don't want to mess up his reputation" I said. If I was brought on tour to actually perform with Justin I know there would be so many rumors. People would start believing Justin just lets anyone perform on tour with him and I'm pretty sure that's not how he works. I guess you could say I'm a bit competitive. 

(Kenny's POV)

I guess Justin's wrong, I chuckled to myself.

--- Flashback ---

I was in the car with Justin and I asked him if he thinks he would fall for Alfredo's cousin or just be close friends with her and he laughed and asked  me why would I ask him if I would fall for a guy. I said "Dude, she's a girl" and he smiled a bit but then quickly made a straight face. "Nah man, I got Selena and she makes me happy" Justin said proudly. I chuckled as he got out the car he asked me where I was going next and I told him I was going to pick up Jasmine, he had a confused face and asked me if Jasmine Villegas was coming on his tour again and I told him that I didn't know if she was or wasn't. Before he could say anything else I explained to him, Alfredo's cousin was named Jasmine Flores. Justin smirked and walked into the studio.

We pulled up in front of a studio. "Dang, how many studio's are we going to in one day" I asked chuckling, "This is the last one" Kenny paused "For today" and he laughed. Kenny lead us to the studio where Justin was at I'm guessing. Everyone seemed to know where they were going. I walked behind them, we stopped at 'Studio B'.  

We walked in and Justin said hey to everyone and they did hand shakes. Justin looked over at me and started to talk "And you must be Jasmine" he said and then licked his lips. I got to admit, he did look hotter in person, but me personally have always loved his vocals. "Yes, I am" I said chucking Justin was still looking at me, but was called by someone. 

"Jaz, you have got to sing something for us" Alfredo said "please" he pleaded, I nodded my head knowing he wasn't going to give up. The only places I've sang were in the bathroom and my house or cars but never in public, at least not where people I wasn't surrounded by daily. I decided to give it a shot, I mean when will I ever get an opportunity to sing in a booth? 

"Justin! Scooter!" I heard Kenny call for them. "Scooter Jasmine was signing in the car and she sounded amazing, can she sing a little something for us" Alfredo said. Scooter chuckled and nodded his head as he told Justin to show me into the booth. Justin showed me what to do, It was pretty simple honestly. I had asked Justin what song I was suppose to be singing and he didn't know so we walked out asked them. They said I was going to sing stuck in the moment. It was time to play games. "Um.. okay but who sings that song?" I asked joking, Justin looked hurt and in disbelief "You really don't know?" Justin asked, I shook my head. I looked at Justin in the eyes and said "So I'm singing Stuck in the moment by Justin right?" I asked for reassurance. Justin's face lit up "I thought you didn't know who it was by" He said. I laughed, Of course I know the song as well as he lyrics. I strated to walk away and winked. I heard Kenny say "So she's a prankster and loves to compete" He stated and smirked. Pattie came from no where and said "I think Justin and someone are going to get along very well" She said smiling. 

I sang the song with my eyes closed, It was the first time I've ever sang in a both and with a good amount of people watching. You could say I was nervous before I closed my eyes. I opened my eyes and every one was staring at me in awe and with their jaws almost touching the ground. I left the booth and everyone started to clap. 

"Thank you" I said smiling, I got many "you're welcomes". I was proud of my self for not freaking out about signing like that in front of everyone, a room full of people I barley knew. "So when are we leaving" I asked, looking around the room. "As soon as Justin records 'next 2 you'" Scooter said, "But scooter, Chris isn't here yet" he whined. "Well maybe someone else can sing his part for now" Scooter said and everyone turned and looked at me. "Please" Scooter asked me. I nodded and groaned quietly but Justin heard me and frowned. "Why the groaning" Justin asked sounding hurt once again. "No, I do but it's just" I started trailing off but then continued "Never mind, it doesn't matter let's go" I said. 

We walked into the booth and Justin once again asked why I groaned. I groaned because if I sing and they like this recording, they might release it for a limited time and I'll start to gain attention towards me as a singer, not a dancer. I've loved dancing, for as long as I can remember and I don't want to give up on my dreams. I explained to Justin why I groaned, he nodded showing that he understood and a tear escaped my eye and Justin noticed. Justin pulled me into a hug and wiped my tear away with his thumb. "It's going to be okay and you're an amazing singer, you can dance and sing" Justin soothed. "I don't believe I can truly sing" I said to Justin truthfully. "You can, You're amazing at singing" He paused and look into my eyes "Now, do you want to sing with me" He asked letting me go. I nodded to his question and cleared my throat, I mean why would I pass up an amazing opportunity like this. We began to sing, while I was signing I was so concentrated this time I didn't close my eyes. I kept searching for Justin's eyes though because they comforted me. Once we finished Justin put his index finger up, indicating we'd be out in a minute. "I have an idea, you're already going to be on tour with me basically and when I perform ' Next 2 You' and Chris isn't there, you can perform with me and when you are not performing you can be dancing" Justin explained. I smiled and nodded hugging Justin, this way I would get the best of both worlds. I would experience both of my dreams all in one.

After we recorded ' next 2 you' I agreed to dancing at Justin's shows and signing ' next 2 you' when Chris wasn't there.
