Amelia's P.O.V.
My eyes started to slowly open and all I could see was bright light for a moment. I wonder if this is what it's like when mommy talked about Heaven, just blinding white light. Then I started to remember: Haz and Lou and El. There was pain, I do know that. I closed my eyes against the light, it felt weird only controlling my eyes, and I felt weightless like there wasn't even a cast on my arm anymore. This is strange, I feel like I should remember more than just Haz and Lou and El and my itchy stupid cast.
Then my ears started ringing, kind of like the high pitch sound Haz's old microphone  used to make if it got jostled. Then it was like I could hear perfectly. There was someone sitting to my right and I could hear heavy breathing, almost like someone sleeping. Even more weird was that I could suddenly hear Haz on the phone.
"Mom she needs you out here." A slight pause and then, "I understand but I can't do this alone I..." A frustrated sigh and then, "I know she misses you and Gem."
Then my toes started to get tingly, it was a weird feeling, I almost forgot I had toes! But nope they have little pins and needles now. Suddenly the sensation started to move all the way up my body until I could feel it through my shoulders and neck. Then I gasped and sat up as a jolt of energy leapt through me! I could see, I could see the small hospital room and the white sheets and Lou sleeping next to me and Haz about to drop his phone. Suddenly I couldn't take it anymore and just like that I could feel the tears rolling down my cheeks because I forgot for a second where I was and what happened and why Haz was talking on the phone. There was a headache, it was terrible and head splitting and then it blanks. Poof, gone but now Haz is hugging me and I can't seem to bring myself to raise my arms around him too. But I know I feel better, I was alone and I don't know how long for. I forgot about Gem and Mommy, and my stuffed kitty, and Gem's boyfriend and El and... But its okay now because Haz is here and I remember. So I cried and he told me it was okay and that he was okay and that Lou would be so mad he wasn't awake when I woke up but I laughed and told him Lou was grouchy when you woke him up, I mean he is!
"Hey Mia, you know you just about ripped my heart out right?" He looked at me with silent tears rolling down his cheeks and pooling on my blanket. I nodded and finally put my arms around him. "I'm sorry Haz, but I feel better now," I explained as he smiled a crooked smile and nudged Lou awake.
The next fifteen minutes was Lou staring at me, then the fifteen minutes after that was him poking and prodding to check and make sure that I was okay. This caused Haz to loosen up a bit and finally lay down next to me on the bed while Lou commenced staring again.
"Did you notice your missing something?" Haz asked.
I shook my head and he smirked while gesturing at my arms. Wait I could see both arms!
"My cast is off!" I exclaimed as I began to run my hand over my no longer recuperating arm. Haz nodded and Lou finally broke his silence, "They had to cut it off to make sure that you wouldn't cause any injury to yourself during your episode." Lou explained.
"What do you mean episode?" I asked Lou and Haz.
"After you passed out, we thought you were having a seizure because you were shaking," Haz explained with a look of hesitation towards Lou. "It turned out to be a false alarm, it turned out it was kind of like your body going into shock after the severe migraine you experienced." I nodded and tried to comprehend what was happening. Suddenly I froze,
"I didn't miss Christmas did I?" Haz's eyes widened and Lou finally cracked a smile. "Nope but tomorrow is Christmas Eve so you cut it close!" I sighed in relief and Haz decided it was time for me to rest while he made some calls and updated the boys on my situation. I rolled onto my side and faced Lou before going off to sleep. "Hey Lou?" I asked, "Where's El?"
He smiled and gestured over to a small hide a bed couch that El was currently sleeping away in. I smiled and blue her a kiss before taking Haz's advice and heading off to sleep.
