Chapter 12

Zayns POV

I had never seen Niall so happy. He was so happy he cried. That rarely happens. I'm glad she trusts Niall. She'll eventually warm up to us as she quickly did to Niall. I looked at the clock. 5:32 a.m., I groaned. I hated waking up early. But I was eager to get home, so I got up and took a quick shower, I walked over and woke up Niall. "Niall mate, get up we're gonna be late." He slowly opened his eyes and technically crawled out of bed. It was pretty funny. He took a shower and went to the kitchen to get some breakfast. I walked into the kitchen and saw him washing his plate. "Is Valerie awake yet?" Niall asked. "Nah i dont think so..." I replied. "I'll go wake her up!" He said eagerly. He must really feel attached to her already. I laughed, thinking that it took him 2 weeks for him to warm up to us, and she has him wrapped around her finger in less than a day. She has us all whipped though. She's just so loving. 

Niall's POV

I walked into my room to find the bed empty. I looked around and heard the water running from the bathroom. Well she must've taken a shower I thought. No shit she is, what would she be doing? Scuba diving? I swear sometimes I question my exsistance. I decided to wait for her in the room, so I went to my suitcases and checked I had everything. I took my bags and went to place them by the door. I ran into Harry, Louis and Liam on my way back. "Mornin lads!" I greeted them with a smile.

"Morning Niall.." They answered back happily. I guess we're all tired of New York. But if we haven't of come then Harry wouldn't of saved Valerie and I never would've met her! And I wouldn't be able to keep my promise to her! Jesus I need to calm down, I took a deep breath and walked to my room. I saw her coming out wearing some grey sweats and a KISS t shirt. "Morning Princess!" I said flashing her a smile. "Morning Niall!" she said in the same enthusiasm. I smiled thinking that she still seemed comfortable around me. "Do you have everything packed?" I asked.

"Yeah, I just have a question. Do you guys have my passport?" she asked, worry written across her face. "Yes we do, Harry asked your caretaker if you happened to have it and she had it in file." I told her. "Oh... okay!" She said. I smiled at her excitment. "So are you excited to come to live in London?" I asked her. "Yeah totally! I promised myself that after I graduated college, I would move to London and try to be a certified pediatric surgeon." She smiled, looking down deep in thought. She's 14, and she already has her shit together. When I was her age, I was planning out what type of deodorant I'd wear once I started smelling bad. Wow, that's embarrassing.

"Well I'm sure you can accomplish it. You're very determined and you take things seriously so it won't be any trouble for you." I reassured her. She looked at me and giggled. "Thanks Niall, that means a lot to me." She said reaching over for a hug. I went in a gave her a tight squeeze, soon to be interrupted by Louis. 

"Hey! Where's my hug?" Louis exclaimed, opening up his arms. Valerie giggled and ran into his arms. "Hey sweet pea! How'd you sleep?" He asked. "Hey Lou, and I slept well, how about you?" she asked sweetly. "I slept like a baby, thanks for asking. Now, have you eaten breakfast?" Louis asked. "Yes I have." she said. I looked at her. When? I was the first one to eat out of all 6 of us! "Ok then, we're leaving in half an hour to the airport. And hopefully, there won't be any screaming girls." He chuckled. "Okay be ready by then okay?" she nodded and smiled. "Thanks for the clothes Louis, I didn't properly thank you for it." she said with a genuine smile. "Anything for my DAUGHTER." he said emphasizing the last word. She smiled and said "I'll have to see what to call you." "Whatever you want babe! Now I shall head down to thy kitchen-eth to eat-eth some food...-eth!" He said trying to talk in a Mideval voice. I laughed at his retreating figure. I stopped laughing and turned to Valerie. 

"Did you really eat or are you just saying that?" I asked her. She should'nt be skipping meals. Its not healthy! "I really did eat, I ate some cereal... I ate while Zayn was taking a shower, and you were sleeping." she explained. "Ok, good I don't want my princess starving herself." I said happily. "Well I'm going to go help anyone with last minute packing." I said, "Meet you by the door in... 20 minutes." I said looking at my watch. "Okay then, I'm just gonna brush my teeth and get ready." She said. "Don't be too long!" I said walking out the door. 

Valerie Noelle's POV

"Now, have you eaten breakfast?" Louis asked me. I didn't eat anything, not only because I didn't feel like it, but because I felt like I should keep watch on my weight. So I decided to cut down on meals. Until I found a safe healthy diet to follow by. But until then, this is what I was gonna do. "Yes I have." I lied easily. I felt guilty to be lying to him, after he bought me almost $600 worth of clothes, and adopted me. From the corner of my eye I saw Niall look at me when I said that. Shit, he knows I'm lying. I panicked.  "Ok then, we're leaving in half an hour to the airport. And hopefully, there won't be any screaming girls." He chuckled. "Okay be ready by then okay?" I smiled and nodded. "Thanks for the clothes Louis, I didn't properly thank you for it." I said with a genuine smile. "Anything for my DAUGHTER." he said, putting a lot of feeling towards 'Daughter'. "I'll have to see what to call you." I sighed. "Whatever you want babe! Now I shall head down to thy kitchen-eth to eat-eth some food...-eth!" He said talking in a weird voice. I laughed at him and he walked away. Niall stopped laughing as soon as Louis walked out of the door. 

"Did you really eat or are you just saying that?" he questioned me. I didn't know what to do, but lie to his face too. "I really did eat, I ate some cereal... I ate while Zayn was taking a shower, and you were sleeping." I said smoothly. I saw his face relax and replaced his stern look with a smile. Good, he believed it, I said. "Ok, good I don't want my princess starving herself." he said happily. Oh if only you knew...
