Hydrolia: The Origin

Introduction

It's currently year 5003 and Earth is part of a inter galactic alliance with many alien species. Majority of our solar system has been inhabited by both human and alien species alike.

An unknown sender sent a package, when opened for inspection the contents seemed like nothing but food. Passing unsuspicious they sent the package to Earth the apparent buyers of the product.

Few months after the arrival of the package an outbreak started. This caused world wide shock, even the smartest scientist didn't know what was happening. Doctors simply called it off as the flu, as time passes the virus got worse and was eventually looked into. The virus was eventually dubbed Hydrolia because of the chemical structure, the virus contained many deadly substances but surprisingly was mainly water.

The Hydrolia virus worked in stages that happen over a fortnight, these stages being.
Stage 1) The flu
Stage 2) Mass headaches
Stage 3) Severe headaches and stomach pains
Stage 4) Heart and brain malfunctions
Stage 5) Death
Luckily very few people are immune to the effects of the Hydrolia virus.

The intergalactic republic soon decided to send John Smitjerald a skilled immune human biologist to find the cure to the virus. John was given a spacecraft to fulfil his task, he was determined to stop the virus because he couldn't just standby and watch people die.

After John said his good byes and packed his stuff he entered his spacecraft which was equipped with a reserve backup power and fuel supply as well as an artificial intelligence system and was all ready to go. The count down started 5... 4... 3... 2... 1 and we have lift off!
