I was relieved to finally get off the helicarrier and away from the others. They had told the parents about my rage attack and now I was grounded for two weeks when I get home. That made my day better. NOT! Soon the whole school would know about my attack on Isabel and the threat I gave James. Not exactly how I wanted my year to start. All I wanted to do was get to my room and unpack before school started. Not that I knew what time it was or how long I had before school started. This would be a good time to find Nathaniel.

I stood on the pathway in front of the school, with my bags on the ground around me. I couldn't even move anywhere because I had three bags and a suitcase, but only two hands. Other students walked past me, some with their parents and some without. Isabel, James and Riley had all left when their friends came to help them with their bags. I tried my best to hold onto three bags on one arm and drag my suitcase with the other. I took a few steps forward thinking that this might actually work. Of course that was before I tripped over a rock and landed face first on the pavement. Kids walking past laughed at me while I was on the ground dazed. I couldn't see clearly, which made moving difficult. My foot was stuck under the handle of my suitcase with a bag stuck on top of it. My left arm was tangled in my other bags straps which only allowed me to move one arm. Just like usual my short little arm couldn't reach my foot that was stuck. I wish Nathaniel were here.

I shook my ankle around hoping to get it unstuck but no luck. That was before Nathaniel lifted the bag up off my ankle and lifted up the suitcase handle so I could move my foot. I dusted off some of the dirt that was all over my jeans and jacket. My hair was probably even worse now.

"Thanks Nathaniel," I stood up and untangled my bags straps from around my wrist. I was just shaking my arm around when I heard giggling. Who was laughing at me now? I looked up and saw a girl, a little older than me with her hands over her mouth having a laughing fit. She had straight brown hair with little bangs covering her forehead. Her hair was out with a small pink bow on top of her head. The girl was wearing a white blouse with a dark blue dress over the top. She also wore pale pink stockings and little blue flats. I had no idea who she was but she wasn't Nathaniel. I looked around and Nathaniel was nowhere to be seen.

"Who are you?" I asked while I watched the girl stop laughing. I needed to know who she was. Maybe I might make a friend this year. She seemed nice, only if she tells me who she is. I've never seen her before, maybe she's new.

"My name is Hali Maximoff. This is my brother Pietro," the girl gestured to a boy her age with white hair. He was wearing sweatpants and a blue Nike shirt. His shoes looked brand new and were a pair of white Nikes. I couldn't help looking at his white hair. Not many kids have white hair. I didn't think it was possible for kids to have white hair up until now. "Your probably wondering about his hair. Our uncle was Quicksilver." Hali handed me my bag and walked off to join her brother. She only had a soft voice and spoke really quietly. I didn't hear everything she said, but I did catch the words Maximoff, Pietro and Quicksilver. They were probably the most important words she said. Maybe later I would try and find out who these Maximoff's are.

"Scarlet!" I heard a voice call out my name and I turned to see my best friend Nathaniel. His curly brown hair made it easy to spot him a mile away. He greeted me with a smile and a hug. Nathaniel was wearing the usual plain blue shirt and black shorts. He basically lived in those clothes. I felt really short around him because he was over a head taller than me. Nathaniel slowly let go of me and stepped back to face me with a big grin.

"Why are you so excited? Did Sophie Del Toro finally talk to you?" Nathaniel looked as though he was in a dream at the mention of her name. He had been crushing on Sophie for a few years now, not that he ever talked to her. I have to admit, she is really pretty. Beautiful even. Sophie has dark brown hair that flows halfway down her back, big brown eyes, long black eyelashes and nicely tanned skin. I have never seen her mother but I can bet that she is beautiful. Unfortunately Nathaniel had fallen under her charm just like most of the boys in his year and I was the only one he could blab about her to. I watched as he stared mindlessly into the sky. How could he be so in love at such a young age. I snapped my fingers in front of his face and in an instant he clicked back to reality.

"No, but she is in my class." Nathaniel picked up two of my bags, ready to help me bring them to my room. I wasn't sure if her being in his class was a good thing. He would be continuously getting distracted and his grades would begin to fall. Last time he got a bad grade Uncle Clint wouldn't let me visit him for a month. That's a long time to go without your best friend.

"Not much of a surprise. There's only a few classes in each year." We began to walk down the path that lead to the school notice board. Everyone was crowding it, trying to find their dormitory. Lucky for me, I have Nathaniel. He was tall compared to all of the younger kids so he was able to see straight over their heads. I was just staring at the back of people's heads.

"Room fifty four." Nathaniel and I talked all the way up to my room. Mostly about our holidays and how Nathaniel had finally discovered how to tie a tie. It was apparently he best achievement ever. He dropped my bags at the door and waved goodbye before running off down the hall. I hoped that my new roommates would actually be nice this year. Last year I was stuck with Vanessa Strange. Even her name gave me the creeps. I knocked on the door and it was answered almost immediately. The girl that stood in front of me had dark brown skin, dark eyes and black hair with white highlights. I recognised her as Kymera Udaku, the young princess of Wakanda. She welcomed me in but I was shocked at the girl I saw standing in front of me. How on earth was I put with her?
