Next day (thursday) at school

Kats POV

"Kat! Kat!" Anna and cam shouted running towards me with huge grins on their faces.

"What's up guys?" I asked

"Rumor has it that Chase is going to ask you out!?"

"So??"

"So... Are you going to say yes or what? C'mon Kat you have to say yes plus it'll help you show Ryder there many other people that can ask you out not only him"

"Yeah, I guess"

I headed for the library since I had a free period with Cam and Danny. I took my usual seat with Cam at the back of the class when Chase entered the class and was headed towards me with a smirk on his face.

"Hey Kat" he said "I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me sometime, lets say tomorrow?"

Oh no I have a date with Ryder tomorrow and I don't want to say no to him after-all I have to show Ryder I'm not dying to out with him. What should I say?

"No, she can't go out with you tomorrow" said a deep voice, I turned around to see a pissed of Ryder.

"What the hell Ryder! I can go out with whoever I like!" I snapped

"Not anymore! You are MINE and only mine!"

"I don't belong to anyone and I can decide who I want to go out with," I turned to Chase " yes Chase you can pick me up at seven... And as for you Ryder consider our date cancelled!" With that I exited the room leaving a pissed of Ryder and a smirking Chase.

Ryder's POV

"Yes chase you can pick me up at seven... And as for you Ryder consider our date cancelled." Kat snapped and left the room. I turned to Chase who was smirking, I lunged forward and punched him. How dare he spoil my plan.

The teacher and a few students pulled me off Chase who now had a bruise on his cheek. I was let off with a warning and 1 weeks detention. I looked for Kat around the school, I was going to take her on a date tomorrow whether she liked it or not, I after-all had to live up to my expectations, this was all a game to me and Chase.

** flashback **

I got in my house and greeted my mother and ran off to my brothers room.

"What do you want Ryder?" He asked nonchalantly

"Stay away from her, she's mine" I stated

"Oh really and what makes you so sure she wants to be yours."

"Oh I know her very well"

"Ah yes! I remember you're the one that broke her heart a year ago and now here you are planning it again. But I know she'd rather be with me than you."

"Really Chase" yes Chase is my older brother. " well I guess we'll see."

"Is that a challenge, well then it's on Ryder; the challenge is to make Kat fall in love with them and to make it interesting whoever loses leaves the game forever and winner gets $700."

"Challenge accepted."

** end if flashback **

As I was walking down the hall I saw to two girls giggling and instantly recognized them as Kats fiends. What were their names- Annabelle and Camaron was it.

"Umm.. Hey ladies... By any chance have you seen Kat?" I asked

They started giggling and motioned me outside toward the football field. I walked out and immediately spotted Kat, well it wasn't very hard since she was only there with maybe about six others on the field. I walked towards her but she didn't notice me coming since her back was facing me, as I got closer I could smell smoke, was she smoking? I mean when we were together I remember her telling me she doesn't smoke, wow I must've really screwed her.

"Kat?" I asked

Kats POV

"Kat?" I noticed that deep voice, it was Ryder, I quickly threw my cigarette- I mean no one knew I smoked apart from Anna and Cam. I turned to face him.

"Kat, I'm sor-" I cut him off.

"Ryder leave me alone, I don't want to talk to you and please you don't have to apologise, it isn't worth it if you don't mean it-" I was cut off by Ryder who had pushed me against a pole and trapped me, his hot breath lingering on my neck, he began kissing me on my neck leaving hot trails where he kissed me- I should not feel this way about him. He stopped and looked up to me.

"Ryder what do you want?" I whispered.

Ryder's POV

"Ryder what do you want?" She whispered.

"A date with you"

"I'm going with Chase tomorrow." I felt anger boiling within me, he ruine my whole plan.

"Not tomorrow then today."

She thought about it but as she was going to answer I cut her off.

"We're going today whether you like it or not, I'll be there at seven thirty and I'll take whether your dressed or not. Be sure to wear something casual."

Kats POV

"Well that's a weird way to ask someone out and also answer for the person" Anna said beside me.

"What would you have answered if he didn't tell you that you're going no matter what? It looke as though you were debating with yourself, your still messing with him right? Cam asked

Now that I think of it what would I have said. I mean I have to go on a few dates with him if I want revenge right? Leave it to Cam to bring up a dilemma in you head.

We walked to the cafeteria an sat at our table with Danny who looked angry.

"Hey Danny what's wrong? You've been way too quiet these days?" Danny was like a brother to me, the girls and I would know if something was bothering him but lately with the game and all I really haven't talked to him. He got up and left, I excused myself from the girls and followed Danny outside.

"Danny what wrong?" I asked

"Cam! That's what's wrong."

"What has Cam done?"

"Nothing, I want to ask her out but whenever I try to ask her if she's thinking about dating anyone she changes the topic and now she's ignoring me and not talking to me."

"Oh my gosh! Danny you like Cam!"

"Shh, nobody else knows"

"Yeah oops sorry, but I'll set up date for you guys together whether Cam agrees or not."
