KAISOO

The scenery had quickly changed from that of flashing lights, zooming cars and proof of civilation to that of animals, fields and quite bluntly put isolation. Kyungsoo coughed as the bus sped off leaving a cloud of unsettled dust in his face.

"Oi! You that hoity ma said was coming? Kyungsoo or some 'um right?"

An extremely thick country accent drawled out making the owl eyed male turn his attention to the source of it. A boy looking no more than fifteen sat atop a donkey with a grass blade between his chapped lips. His red and black checkered shirt was dirty and tattered along with a matching pair of blue jeans to go back with the shirt's description. As for shoes? None. The boy's under nails were disgustingly infected and flies were attracted to the foul gunk between his toes. Kyungsoo cleared his throat and removed a pristine white silk cloth from his jacket's pocket, placing it over his nose to alleviate the stench emanting from the male whom had addressed him.

"Is your mother's name Baekhyun by chance?"

The boy laughed releasing some snorts between his intakes of breath every now and then.

"You hoities sure is dumb for them city folk. How can two man birth a child? Crazy.."

Kyungsoo rolled his eyes up to look at the scorching sun then back to the young man before him. The boy was seriously lacking in three important departments; Education, Manners and most of all Hygiene.

"And who might your mother be then child?"

"Mrs. Kim Nana's mi mum."

Kyungsoo nodded his head a tight smile now etched acrossed his face and something of a bitter-sweet origin flooding his senses. That name was more than enough to conjure up the emotions of the past in full force. Emotions he had locked away tightly but were now proven to be so easily opened.

"You coming or not? I gots stuff tuh be done."

Kyungsoo smiled and picked up his leather luggage loading them one by one onto the cart the donkey was attached to. Once they were loaded they were set on their way to Nana's. Kyungsoo, the unname young male and an unseen but ever rising emotion known as bitterness.

"Kanghae your brother wants some water!"

Kyungsoo shuffled slowly down the stairs his hair a flaring hot mess, his skin not faring any better and neither was the Kim's home.

"Oh! Kyungsoo-ssi you're awake. Jongin isn't here he's already gone down to the stables. I swear that man, ever a hard worker!"

Kyungsoo's heart clenched at the sound of the male's name leaving her lips. To some it would seem as though the male loathed Jongin but in actuality it was Nana he truly resented. She had stolen the life he could've had from him. His happiness from him! This could have been Kyungsoo's life, his children and most of all his home! Albeit to others being bitten by mosquitos and shoveling horse shit daily didn't seem as a picture perfect life but once he was beside Jongin for Kyungsoo it would be.
