The red blinking numbers tattooed to my wrist decreased slowly. 2 hours 6 minutes and 26 seconds to go before I meet my soulmate. I was nervous to meet him. Would he have
a nice personality? Will he treat me.well? I twiddled my fingers as I sighed and turned on my laptop. I worry too much sometimes. I logged into youtube and yelled when i saw my subscriptions. " YESSS HAPPY WHEELS JORDAN RELEASED HAPPY WHEELS OMG" Jordan has always been my favourite youtuber since I was young and to be honest, I love him.
After a couple of hours watching Jordan rage at his computer( which is just really adorable sometimes) I went out to buy dinner. I looked down at my wrist. 14 minutes 16 seconds. I bit my lip as I grabbed my dinner and walked to the nearest bookstore and bought my favourite comic book - Tintin before heading back out. 2 more minutes to go. I was starting to sweat, glancing around me as I crossed the road. Where was he? Do I know him?
"BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
Time seemed to slow down as I turned my head as I saw a red Toyota barrel towards me. My heart thumped faster. I was stuck to the ground paralysed in fear. Just 6 seconds left to go. Will i meet my soulmate before I die?
I felt myself being lifted off my feet and slammed into a wall. Every part of my body hurt. My vision was cloudy and I could feel my blood runniing through my hair. I struggled to glance down at my wrist. 1 second. I heard footsteps running towards me and I instinctvely looked up, straight into a pair of familiar brown eyes.
Jordan Maron.
The tattoo on his wrist disappeared at the same time as mine and his beautiful brown eyes clouded over with tears in realisation. "No, no, no, please, no." he pleaded. "Hang on!" I felt his warm hand pressing a cloth somewhere on my forehead, trying to stop the blood. I struggled to breathe as I smiled slightly up at him taking in the perfection of his face through my blurry vison in the last couple of seconds I knew i had left on earth .Through a burble of blood I managed to whisper " Goodbye Jordan, I love you."
And at that very moment, my heart thumped to a stop.
