The story of krampus originates from the late 1800's. The story is about a bishop named saint nick who would flip a coin through the windows of poor children's homes on Christmas if you were good you would expect to see presents under you're tree. But if you were bad krampus would whip you with a branch. But if you were really really bad krampus would take you to hell with him. People started to make greeting cards that said gruss vom krampus which means greetings from krampus these post cards were everywhere all over Europe. When the holocaust broke out Hitler banned krampus. After world war 2 krampus came back to Europe after that people started making the krampus lauf which mean the krampus runs like the zombie runs in America so that is the complete story of krampus.
